Trump Says Iran Open to Nuclear Deal, Claims U.S. Pressure Has Weakened Tehran

Washington, June 2026 : U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran is prepared to abandon its pursuit of nuclear weapons and reach a comprehensive agreement with the United States, asserting that sustained American military pressure has significantly weakened Tehran’s military capabilities.

Speaking during a virtual tele-rally in support of South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham ahead of the state’s Republican primary, Trump devoted a substantial portion of his address to developments involving Iran, ongoing diplomatic negotiations, and security issues in the Middle East.

According to Trump, discussions between Washington and Tehran are progressing positively, with Iranian leaders showing a willingness to make significant concessions in order to secure an agreement.

“We’re negotiating now and they want to make a very good deal. They’re willing to give us everything. They’re willing to give us no nuclear weapon,” Trump said during the event. The President’s remarks came as he campaigned on behalf of Senator Graham, a close political ally and one of the most vocal advocates in Congress for a tough approach toward Iran. Trump praised Graham’s consistent support for his foreign policy agenda and described him as a key partner in efforts related to national security and defence.

Highlighting Graham’s record, Trump credited the senator for backing measures aimed at strengthening border security, enhancing military readiness, and advancing conservative judicial appointments. He urged Republican voters in South Carolina to support Graham in the upcoming primary election, describing him as a dedicated representative of the state’s interests.

Trump also used the occasion to endorse Pamela Evette, South Carolina’s Lieutenant Governor. Calling her an “America First” leader, he expressed confidence that she would play a significant role in the state’s future political leadership and predicted continued success for her in public office.

The remarks underscored the central role that foreign policy, particularly U.S.-Iran relations, continues to play in Trump’s political messaging as negotiations with Tehran remain under close international scrutiny.
