An explanation was sought regarding those responsible for dumping debris on the Mumbai-Nashik highway.
Thane : Chief Minister Eknath Shinde personally inspected the entire Mumbai-Nashik highway on Friday (9th) with officials from all relevant agencies to address the issues of potholes and traffic congestion. During the inspection, a large pile of debris was found dumped on the side of the highway within the limits of Highway Dive Gram Panchayat. Noticing the debris, the Chief Minister expressed his displeasure and immediately questioned Collector Ashok Shingare about it. He instructed that the debris be removed without delay and ordered strict action against the person responsible for dumping it, as well as the involved authorities.
Following this incident, Tehsildar Abhijit Khole promptly enforced the order and requested an explanation from the MMRDA and Panchayat Samiti administration, which is the planning authority for this area.
