The massive statue has been ceremoniously dispatched from the historic city of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statue has been crafted on the directions of the Chhattisgarh Government by renowned sculptor <strong>Deepak Vishwakarma<\/strong>, a recipient of the President\u2019s Award. Created at the Sand Stone Art and Craft Centre in Gwalior, the statue is the result of months of dedicated effort and exceptional craftsmanship. It stands as a remarkable blend of Indian culture, spirituality, and artistic excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Divine Image of Lord Ram in Vanvasi Form<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The statue portrays Lord Ram in his Vanvasi form, holding a bow and arrow, symbolising restraint, sacrifice, discipline, and righteousness. It has been sculpted using specially selected, highly durable \u201csand mint stone,\u201d known across the country for its strength and longevity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the Shri Ram Van Gaman Path project being developed by the Chhattisgarh Government, two grand statues had earlier been installed at prominent locations, including Shivrinarayan Temple and Sita Rasoi. Impressed by the artistic quality and public response to those works, the government entrusted the creation of this monumental 51-foot statue to sculptor Deepak Vishwakarma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A New Identity for the Ram Van Gaman Path<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Chandkhuri is traditionally believed to be the maternal home of Lord Ram, as it is associated with Mata Kaushalya\u2019s birthplace. The new colossal statue will replace the existing statue of Lord Ram at the site. Once installed, it is expected to elevate Chandkhuri not only as a major centre of religious faith but also as an important destination for spiritual and cultural tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the Shri Ram Van Gaman Path project, the state government is focusing on the conservation, development, and beautification of historically and mythologically significant locations linked to Lord Ram\u2019s exile. The installation of this towering statue is set to add a new dimension to the project and strengthen Chhattisgarh\u2019s presence on India\u2019s spiritual tourism map.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Confluence of Faith, Art, and Development<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Rising to a height of 51 feet, the statue is not merely a work of art but a powerful symbol of Chhattisgarh\u2019s cultural identity, religious devotion, and rich sculptural tradition.
