Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda virtually addressed the 8th edition of \u2018Advantage Health Care \u2013 India 2026\u2019, organised by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), in New Delhi today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing the gathering, the Union Health Minister stated that under the visionary leadership of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has undertaken comprehensive reforms to build a resilient, high-quality and globally aligned healthcare system. He noted that strong participation of international delegates at the event reflects the expanding global recognition and credibility of India\u2019s healthcare capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shri Nadda commended FICCI for consistently organising the international event, which has significantly contributed to positioning India as a preferred global destination for medical value travel. He also observed that such platforms facilitate dialogue, partnerships and investments that strengthen India\u2019s engagement with global healthcare stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Highlighting the importance of Medical Value Travel, the Union Health Minister stated that it represents an important dimension of India\u2019s healthcare engagement with the world. He noted that it reflects India\u2019s clinical excellence, internationally benchmarked standards, transparent governance framework and unwavering commitment to patient-centric care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also emphasised that India\u2019s highly skilled medical professionals and modern healthcare infrastructure offer advanced treatment across a wide range of specialties, including cardiology, oncology, organ transplantation, orthopaedics and neurosciences. The Minister added that the integration of advanced technologies, digital health solutions and quality assurance mechanisms has further strengthened patient outcomes and service delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Union Health Minister also informed that the Government of India continues to strengthen the ecosystem supporting medical value travel by enhancing coordination across Ministries, regulatory authorities, accreditation agencies and State Governments. He stated that the Government views medical travel not only as an economic opportunity but also as a channel of cooperation that builds confidence and strengthens people-to-people ties between nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Expressing confidence in the outcomes of the event, the Minister stated that \u2018Advantage Health Care \u2013 India 2026\u2019 would provide an important opportunity to deepen engagements, explore new areas of cooperation and collectively shape the future of global healthcare mobility. He encouraged international delegates and stakeholders to engage actively, build meaningful collaborations and explore the vast potential that India offers as a trusted and reliable healthcare partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his virtual address, Shri Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare & Minister of State for Ayush, emphasised the global and collaborative nature of healthcare. He stated that healthcare today is no longer confined within national boundaries but is shaped by collaboration, technology, knowledge exchange and shared responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Highlighting India\u2019s integrated approach, Shri Jadhav noted that India\u2019s healthcare ecosystem has evolved into a dynamic and integrated system, combining advanced clinical capabilities, digital health innovation, strong pharmaceutical capacity and a growing network of institutions committed to global engagement. He underlined that this comprehensive framework strengthens India\u2019s ability to serve both domestic and international patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Minister of State also underscored the importance of integrating traditional systems of medicine with modern medical practices. He stated that this integrated model of care reflects India\u2019s broader vision\u2014one that values innovation alongside tradition and treatment alongside prevention. The session concluded with the official opening of the exhibition showcasing India\u2019s comprehensive healthcare capabilities across leading hospitals, diagnostic services, advanced medical technologies, pharmaceutical strength, wellness centres and allied healthcare services, reflecting the breadth and depth of India\u2019s healthcare ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Senior officials of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, representatives of the healthcare industry, international delegates and other stakeholders were present on the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
