{"id":106232,"date":"2026-02-26T16:58:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T16:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/?p=106232"},"modified":"2026-02-26T16:58:01","modified_gmt":"2026-02-26T16:58:01","slug":"1290-vehicles-added-to-mumbai-police-fleet-inaugurated-by-chief-minister-devendra-fadnavis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/?p=106232","title":{"rendered":"1,290 Vehicles Added to Mumbai Police Fleet, Inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Mumbai, Feb 2026: To ensure faster response to crime scenes in Mumbai and the metropolitan region, and to promptly attend complaints received on emergency helpline numbers 100 and 112, 1,290 new vehicles have been inducted into the Mumbai Police force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The vehicles were formally inaugurated today at Murli Deora Chowk, Nariman Point, where Chief Minister <strong>Devendra Fadnavis<\/strong> flagged them off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-292-1024x682.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-106233\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-292-1024x682.png 1024w, https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-292-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-292-768x512.png 768w, https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-292.png 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was attended by Minister of State for Home (Urban) <strong>Yogesh Kadam<\/strong>, Mumbai Police Commissioner <strong>Deven Bharti<\/strong>, Additional Commissioner of Police (Administration) <strong>S. Jayakumar<\/strong>, along with other senior police officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The newly inducted fleet includes 657 two-wheelers and 633 four-wheelers. The four-wheelers comprise Scorpio vehicles and large Armoured Mobility (Armenia-type) vehicles. At present, the Mumbai Police response time to complaints received via helplines stands at 5.30 minutes. With the addition of these vehicles, this response time is expected to reduce further. The enhanced mobility will also help in faster detection of crimes and ensure quicker justice for victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the Mumbai Police Commissionerate, a total of 90 police stations are operational. Each police station will be provided with 10 vehicles\u2014five two-wheelers, four Scorpio vehicles, and one large Armoured Mobility vehicle.
