His remarks came during his first press conference after receiving a clean chit in the high-profile Delhi excise policy, or ‘Liquorgate’, case.

Addressing the media at the AAP headquarters, Kejriwal demanded a public apology from Modi and Shah to the people of Delhi for what he termed a “false, fabricated and malicious case” against him and senior party leaders. He also threw down a direct political challenge to the Centre, daring it to dissolve the Delhi Assembly and hold fresh elections to “test the public mood and wrath.”

Flanked by senior AAP leaders, including former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, Kejriwal thanked the judiciary and the legal fraternity for what he described as their courage and commitment to the rule of law during “extraordinarily difficult times.”

“The judiciary stood firm and fearless. It showed grit when immense pressure was being mounted,” Kejriwal said, adding that the verdict reaffirmed his party’s faith in India’s democratic and judicial institutions.

Referring to the detailed order passed by the Rouse Avenue Court, Kejriwal said the case against him and other AAP leaders had collapsed even before trial. “The court clearly stated that there was no sufficient evidence or material to even begin a trial. In its nearly 600-page order, it categorically observed that there was no substance to take the matter forward,” he told reporters.

Kejriwal alleged that the entire case was designed by the BJP’s top leadership to dislodge AAP from power in Delhi. “This was the most sinister and wicked conspiracy by Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to annihilate the Aam Aadmi Party,” he claimed. According to him, central agencies such as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) were “misused as political weapons” over the last four years to harass and intimidate AAP leaders.

Reiterating his personal commitment to integrity, Kejriwal said he had earned nothing in life except respect. “I don’t have palaces or offshore accounts. The only thing I have earned is the love and respect of people, and that is what they wanted to destroy,” he said, accusing the BJP of targeting him solely for political gain.

The AAP convenor said the Centre, in its desperation to retain power, sent at least five top AAP leaders to jail. “Today’s verdict firmly establishes that Kejriwal, Sisodia, Sanjay Singh and all AAP functionaries are ‘kattar imaandaar’ (staunchly honest),” he asserted.

Kejriwal also announced that AAP would soon approach higher courts to challenge the ED’s money laundering case against him. He argued that the ED proceedings could not logically survive after the corruption case investigated by the CBI had been dismissed. “If there is no scheduled offence, how can there be a money laundering case?” he asked.

Turning his fire towards governance issues, Kejriwal accused the BJP-led Centre of misgovernance and neglect of Delhi’s pressing problems. He said the ruling party should focus on improving administration rather than indulging in what he described as “mudslinging and vendetta politics.” “If you want to defeat Kejriwal, do good governance. That is the only way,” he said.

Issuing an electoral challenge, Kejriwal claimed that if elections were held in Delhi today, the BJP would face a humiliating defeat. “Conduct elections now and you will see the anger of the people. You won’t get more than 10 seats,” he predicted.

Responding to questions about the Congress party’s criticism and claims of a conspiracy behind the clean chit, Kejriwal countered by asking why no senior Congress leaders had been jailed. “If this was a real scam, why haven’t leaders like Rahul Gandhi or Robert Vadra gone to jail?” he asked, suggesting selective targeting by investigative agencies.

The press conference marked a combative return by Kejriwal to the political spotlight, signalling that the AAP intends to turn the court verdict into a major political plank ahead of upcoming electoral battles.

New Delhi, Feb 2026 : Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday launched a blistering attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, accusing them of engineering a political conspiracy to “finish” the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
