Tehran; March 2026<\/strong>: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has denounced Khamenei\u2019s killing \u201cas a great crime\u201d and promised to respond, according to a statement from his office. In his statement, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian praised Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for his \u2018courage\u2019, following the announcement of his death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis great crime will never remain unanswered and will turn a new page in the history of the Islamic world and Shiism. The pure blood of this high-ranking leader will flow like a roaring spring and will eradicate American-Zionist oppression and crime\u201d, it said. \u201cThis time too, with all our strength and determination, with the support of the Islamic nation and the free people of the world, we will make the perpetrators and commanders of this great crime regret it\u201d, it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pezeshkian also declared seven days of public holidays in addition to the 40 days of mourning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iranian state media have also confirmed the killings of Khamenei\u2019s daughter, son-in-law, and grandson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile several thousand Iranian was found to have taken the street in sharp protests, and outrages about the killing of their revered leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile back in the United States, there have been a major fall-out, as critics have lambasted President Donald Trump for \u201cDoing Such-What He Said He Would Not Do\u201d. This is exactly what President Trump said he would not do and this is something that he has criticised previous presidents for doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
