Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav chairs the first Agriculture Cabinet meeting held on Monday at the revered Bhilat Baba shrine in Nangalwadi, Barwani district. The Cabinet approved various schemes worth \u20b927,500 crore related to agriculture, irrigation, animal husbandry, fisheries, horticulture and cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the first Agriculture Cabinet convened under \u2018Krishak Kalyan Varsh\u2019, key decisions were taken regarding schemes worth \u20b925,678 crore aimed at farmers and individuals engaged in productive sectors. Additionally, in the meeting of the Narmada Control Board, administrative approval of \u20b92,067.97 crore was granted for the construction of two irrigation projects in Barwani district. The approved funds will be utilised over the next five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, all members of the Council of Ministers wore traditional tribal attire, conveying a strong message of respect and commitment toward the welfare of tribal communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approval of Madhya Pradesh Integrated Fisheries Policy\u20132026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cabinet approved the Madhya Pradesh Integrated Fisheries Policy\u20132026. The policy is expected to attract investments of \u20b93,000 crore over the next three years and generate approximately 20,000 employment opportunities (10,000 direct and 10,000 indirect). A budget provision of \u20b918.50 crore has been approved for its implementation. The policy promotes modern cage culture, with plans to establish nearly one lakh fish cages across the state. It also integrates fisheries activities with eco-tourism and green energy, creating a multi-dimensional livelihood model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u20b9610.51 Crore Approved for Animal Health Infrastructure<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u20b9200 Crore Approved for Chief Minister Matsya Samriddhi Yojana<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cabinet approved \u20b9200 crore to continue the Chief Minister Matsya Samriddhi Yojana for the financial years 2026\u201327 and 2027\u201328. The scheme provides support for fish seed development, training of fish farmers, interest subsidies, and employment generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u20b91,150 Crore Approved for National Horticulture Mission<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approval of \u20b91,150 crore was granted to continue the National Horticulture Mission for the next five years, focusing on enhancing efficiency in agriculture, strengthening various agricultural components, and preventing duplication of efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u20b91,375 Crore for Micro Food Enterprises Upgradation Scheme<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cabinet approved \u20b91,375 crore for continuing the Micro Food Enterprises Upgradation Scheme over the next five years (FY 2026\u201327 to 2030\u201331). Under this scheme, existing micro food processing units will be upgraded and new units established through joint participation of the Central and State Governments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u20b91,739 Crore for Nursery Development in Horticulture<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of \u20b91,739 crore was approved for nursery development in horticulture over the next five years to ensure production and subsidised availability of high-quality plants and seeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u20b93,502 Crore for 20 Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Projects<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cabinet approved continuation of 20 farmer welfare and agriculture development projects (each below \u20b9500 crore in financial size) until March 31, 2031, with a total outlay of \u20b93,502 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u20b91,975 Crore for Cooperative Banks\u2019 Share Capital Assistance<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approval of \u20b91,975 crore was granted for continuing the Cooperative Banks\u2019 Share Capital Assistance Scheme until March 31, 2031. Through district cooperative banks, crop loans will be made available to farmers, along with support for the settlement of overdue loans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u20b93,909 Crore for Interest Subsidy on Short-Term Crop Loans<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cabinet approved \u20b93,909 crore to continue the interest subsidy scheme on short-term crop loans until March 31, 2031. Farmers will continue to receive crop loans up to \u20b93 lakh at zero per cent interest through Primary Agricultural Credit Societies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u20b91,073 Crore for Efficient Functioning of Cooperative Institutions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u20b91,229 Crore for Various Cooperation Schemes<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An amount of \u20b91,229 crore was approved for the smooth operation and monitoring of various cooperation schemes in the agriculture sector over the next five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u20b9656 Crore for Livestock Development<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approval of \u20b9656 crore was granted to continue the Sorted Sexed Semen Production Project under the National Gokul Mission until March 31, 2031, aimed at improving female cattle and buffalo breeds and enhancing livestock productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u20b91,723 Crore for Animal Health Protection and Conservation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cabinet approved \u20b91,723 crore to continue 14 schemes related to animal health protection and livestock development over the next five years, aimed at increasing livestock and poultry production and supporting economically weaker beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u20b96,518 Crore for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Sector<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approval of \u20b96,518 crore was granted for continuation of 11 schemes in animal husbandry and dairy, including breeding, poultry, sheep and goat development, disease eradication, vaccination, and intensive livestock development projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u20b92,067.97 Crore Administrative Approval for Two Irrigation Projects in Barwani<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meeting of the Narmada Control Board chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, administrative approval of \u20b92,067.97 crore was granted for two irrigation projects in Barwani district aimed at augmenting groundwater levels in low-rainfall areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Varla Micro Lift Irrigation Project:<\/strong> Water of 51.42 MCM will be lifted from the Narmada River to irrigate 15,500 hectares across 33 villages of Varla tehsil. The project cost is \u20b9860.53 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pansemal Micro Lift Irrigation Project<\/strong>: 74.65 MCM of water will be lifted from the Narmada River to irrigate 22,500 hectares across 53 villages of Pansemal tehsil. The project cost is \u20b91,207.44 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
