The prestigious competition is organised by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, with the aim of providing a national platform to showcase youth talent, technical proficiency, and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The India Skills Competition is conducted in four stages\u2014district, state, regional, and national. Participants selected at the national level earn the opportunity to represent India at the global stage under WorldSkills International.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulating the young achievers, <strong>Vishnu Deo Sai<\/strong> said that the youth of Chhattisgarh have proved their ability to compete not only at the national but also at the international level. He emphasised that the state government is prioritising skill development by promoting modern training methods, innovation, and industry-oriented curricula. He described this achievement as an important step towards realising the vision of a strong youth base and a prosperous Chhattisgarh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The East Zone Regional Competition concluded on March 2, 2026, in <strong>Bhubaneswar<\/strong>. More than 200 participants from Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands competed across 59 skill categories. Chhattisgarh\u2019s participants delivered an exceptional performance, winning <strong>one gold medal, two silver medals, five bronze medals, and four Medals of Excellence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Digital Interactive Media category, <strong>Sunil Kumar Paital<\/strong> won the gold medal. Silver medals were secured by <strong>Khushank Nayak<\/strong> in 3D Digital Game Art, <strong>Pushkar Sonbar<\/strong> in CNC Milling, and <strong>Atmaram<\/strong> in CNC Turning. Bronze medals were won by <strong>Nikhil<\/strong> in CNC Milling, <strong>Abhishek Kumar<\/strong> in Electronics, <strong>Reshman<\/strong> in Plumbing and Heating, and <strong>Satendra Kumar<\/strong> in Web Technology. Additionally, <strong>Nohar Lal Patel<\/strong> in Renewable Energy, <strong>Om Banjare<\/strong> in Mechanical Engineering, and <strong>Antra Mukherjee<\/strong> in Health and Social Care were awarded Medals of Excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notably, the successful conduct of the competition in the state was overseen by the Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority. At the district level, competitions were held across 19 skill trades, with <strong>3,327 participants<\/strong> taking part. From these, <strong>381 candidates<\/strong> were selected for the state-level competition, which took place on February 3 and 4, 2026, at reputed institutions in Raipur, Durg, and Raigarh districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following practical assessments, <strong>38 participants<\/strong> were selected to compete at the regional level. The successful regional performers will now represent Chhattisgarh at the national competition.
