Present during the inspection were Kumbh Mela Development Authority Chairman and Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pravin Gedam, Authority Commissioner Shekhar Singh, Additional Commissioner Kamalakar Randive, Chief Conservator of Forests G. Mallikarjun, Deputy Conservator of Forests (East) Rakesh Seput, Sub-Divisional Officer Sharad Ghorpade, Makarand Diwakar, Divisional Manager of Forest Project Division Nashik Sujit Nevase, Assistant Superintending Engineer of the Archaeology Department Hemantkumar Hukre, Assistant Conservation Officer Santosh Mahajan, researcher Ramesh Padwal, and archaeology scholar Dhanashree Nigudkar, along with other officials and staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the visit, the Chief Secretary interacted with experts to understand the historical significance of the caves and inspected Cave No. 22. He reviewed basic amenities, cleanliness, conservation efforts, and tourism development initiatives in the area. He also assessed infrastructure such as access roads, stairways, security arrangements, drinking water facilities, sanitation, and information boards, and provided necessary guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Considering the increasing number of visitors, Mr. Agrawal instructed officials to further strengthen these facilities. He emphasized the importance of preserving the archaeological significance of this heritage site while undertaking conservation and development work.
