Wherever their place is, they will be sent there.

CM Yogi said, “The days of riots, curfews, chaos and looting in the state are over.” He added that today there is a guarantee of safety for traders and women in Uttar Pradesh. Before 2017, every district had a parallel government run by mafia, and youth faced an identity crisis. In contrast, today the youth of the state receive respect elsewhere. With clear intent, the first phase of the Heritage Corridor is nearly complete.

He noted that before 2017, Gorakhpur was known for mafia, mosquitoes, and diseases like encephalitis. Today, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the double-engine government has made Gorakhpur and the state free from mafia, unrest, riots, mosquitoes, and encephalitis.

CM Yogi cautioned the public that narrow-minded actions give opportunities for mafia and problems to grow. Therefore, such opportunistic elements waiting like foxes should not be given a chance, as they promote exploitation and support mafia and disorder. He reaffirmed that the government’s zero-tolerance policy against mafia and criminals will continue. The police have been clearly instructed to crush any rise of criminal elements immediately.

In his address, Chief Minister targeted those who oppose the national song and national anthem, saying these are people who will benefit from India but will not praise it. He said that a New India will not accept this at all. He instructed the municipal corporation not to charge excessive rent from traders in the commercial complex and to keep it affordable.

He also directed that the GIS survey should not lead to higher taxation and that any excess amount collected should be adjusted. He emphasized providing relief in taxation, saying the tax system should work like clouds that return water as rain. When tax revenue is spent on development and welfare schemes, prosperity follows, he added.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the government has approved the establishment of a floating solar power plant in Chilua Tal. It will generate 20 megawatts of electricity, which will be used for solar lighting. He said that Gorakhpur will also develop as a solar city. He added that the Goddhoiyaa Nala project will soon be completed and serve as a model of development.

He also mentioned that four universities, NIELIT, several polytechnics, and ITIs are contributing to the region’s educational growth. On this occasion, he also participated in a collective singing of Vande Mataram.

Ghantaghar is closely associated with memories of the freedom movement. At the place where it stands today, there once used to be a large Pakad tree during India’s first war of independence, where several freedom fighters were hanged. On December 19, 1927, after the execution of Kakori movement hero Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil in Gorakhpur jail, his funeral procession halted at Ghantaghar.
