Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that comprehensive development cannot be envisioned without the progress of daughters and sisters. He said that after Independence, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a major step toward women’s empowerment is now being undertaken. Women will be ensured 33 per cent reservation in the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies, for which a special three-day session of Parliament is scheduled to begin on April 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the state government has so far disbursed over \u20b955,000 crore to women under the Ladli Behna Yojana to promote self-reliance. From Ashta, \u20b91,836 crore was transferred into the bank accounts of 1.25 crore beneficiary women of the state. He stated that India upholds a tradition of reverence for maternal power, and that Raksha Bandhan is now being celebrated every month in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a Women Empowerment Conference in Ashta, Sehore district, on Sunday. He transferred the 35th instalment of \u20b91,836 crore under the Ladli Behna Yojana to beneficiaries\u2019 accounts with a single click.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Educational Facilities for College Girls Students<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it was a special day for the girl students of Ashta. He announced the construction of hostels for a girls\u2019 college and a girls\u2019 school, along with a new school building. He emphasised that \"\"the state government is committed to providing the best educational facilities to its daughters. He stated that Ashta in Sehore district represents a \u2018Triveni Sangam\u2019, and is also associated with the origin of the Parvati River. He highlighted that 90 per cent of students in Sandipani schools have shifted from private schools, reflecting the quality of education being provided. The government is distributing 4 lakh bicycles to students, along with laptops to meritorious students and scooters to school toppers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Priority to Farmers\u2019 Welfare<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the state government has declared 2026 as the \u2018Krishak Kalyan Varsh\u2019, prioritising the well-being of farmers. In the past two years alone, irrigation coverage has increased by nearly 10 lakh hectares. Wheat is being procured at \u20b92,625 per quintal, including a \u20b940 bonus. Farmers are now being provided a 24-hour electricity supply, including daytime power for irrigation, with electricity connections available at a nominal cost of \u20b95.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there are more than 12 lakh \u201cLakhpati Didis\u201d in the state, including over 1 lakh in Sehore district alone. More than 65 lakh women associated with over 5 lakh self-help groups have been empowered. Under the Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana, \u20b955,000 is being provided for marriages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav\u2019s Announcements<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated and performed the Bhoomi Poojan for the development works worth \u20b9184 crore, including newly constructed Sandipani school buildings in Ashta and Jawar. He also distributed benefits to eligible beneficiaries under various welfare schemes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced the establishment of a new ITI in Ashta, construction of a girls\u2019 hostel in the college, drainage works, urban beautification in Jawar, district-level hostels for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students, a new building for the girls\u2019 higher secondary school in Ashta, introduction of a science faculty in Jawar college, construction of barrages at Guradia Khurd and on the Dudhi River, canal construction and a Geeta Bhavan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Member of Parliament Shri Mahendra Singh Solanki stated that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has fulfilled his promise by increasing the Ladli Behna assistance to \u20b91,500, with the amount set to be enhanced further. He stated that Prime Minister Shri Modi is empowering women politically by ensuring 33 per cent reservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MLA Shri Gopal Singh Engineer said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Ashta has received continuous development projects, including two new Sandipani schools, an SDM office, a college hostel, 54 community buildings, and several roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by Revenue Minister Shri Karan Singh Verma, District In-charge Minister Smt. Krishna Gaur, MLA Shri Sudesh Rai, MLA Shri Umakant Bhargava, other public representatives and a large number of Ladli Behna beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Massive Public Welcome during 2 km long Roadshow<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A historic and overwhelming scene unfolded in Ashta town, where enthusiastic citizens warmly welcomed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. The entire city celebrated in a festive atmosphere as people from all walks of life \"\"gathered in large numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the nearly two-kilometre-long roadshow, crowds thronged the streets, showering flowers and greeting the Chief Minister with garlands, turbans, and traditional honours. Over 35 religious, cultural, social and business organisations participated in the grand welcome, presenting portraits of Baba Mahakal, Lord Shri Ram, Lord Shri Krishna, B. R. Ambedkar and Raja Bhoj.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interaction with Students, Guided for Career and Leadership<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He discussed their career aspirations and encouraged them to pursue diverse fields, including medicine, engineering, teaching, entrepreneurship and politics, emphasising their role in shaping the nation\u2019s future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A moment of enthusiasm arose when all 32 students present shared that they had shifted from private schools to Sandipani School. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav described this as a positive indicator of the quality of education being provided. He interacted with students, including Mehak, Muskan, Sapna, Aradhan and Mahi, encouraging them to excel and become responsible citizens contributing to nation-building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inauguration of Sandipani School Buildings<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated newly constructed Sandipani school buildings in Ashta and Jawar. The Ashta building has been developed at a cost of approximately \u20b961 crore over 15 acres, while the Jawar school has been built at a cost of \u20b939.45 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The schools are equipped with modern facilities, including libraries, computer labs, rainwater harvesting systems, and sewage treatment plants. Around 3,800 students are currently enrolled, with education available from KG-1 to Class 12 across Arts, Science, Commerce and Agriculture streams. The school has 160 teachers, 90 classrooms, sports grounds, a botanical garden, and 16 buses providing free transport to students from around 100 villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tribute to Baba Saheb Ambedkar<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the roadshow, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited Ambedkar Dharmashala and paid floral tribute to the statue of B. R. Ambedkar. He remembered Baba Saheb\u2019s invaluable contribution to the making of the Constitution and stated that his ideals continue to guide the nation.
