Jaipur, April 2026:<\/em> Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Rajasthan is steadily strengthening its youth base, laying a solid foundation for a secure and prosperous future. Recognising that the strength of any state lies in its young population, the government has launched a series of forward-looking policies aimed at empowering youth through skill development, employment opportunities, and self-reliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drawing a parallel between a strong foundation of a building and the role of youth in nation-building, the state government has introduced comprehensive youth, skill, and employment policies. These initiatives are designed to ensure holistic development and position Rajasthan as a hub of opportunity for its young population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government\u2019s approach goes beyond simply providing jobs. It aims to transform youth into job creators. Under the Chief Minister\u2019s Youth Self-Employment Scheme, young individuals can avail loans of up to \u20b910 lakh with 100 percent interest subsidy and margin money assistance. With a budget allocation exceeding \u20b91,000 crore, the scheme encourages entrepreneurship and innovation. Additionally, the VIBRANT programme will be implemented in every district to promote research, innovation, and talent nurturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of employment generation, the government has made notable progress. Over 1.25 lakh appointments have been made in the past two and a half years, while recruitment is ongoing for another 1.35 lakh posts. Furthermore, an additional 1.25 lakh jobs have been announced for the coming year. Initiatives like the Rising Rajasthan Global Summit have also attracted investments, creating significant employment opportunities in the private sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To ensure transparency in recruitment, strict action has been taken against examination malpractices such as paper leaks. The state also plans to establish a Rajasthan State Testing Agency, modeled on the National Testing Agency, to conduct fair and efficient examinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Efforts are also underway to expand digital education in rural areas. Atal Knowledge Centres are being set up at the \u0917\u094d\u0930\u093e\u092e \u092a\u0902\u091a\u093e\u092f\u0924 (village council) level, providing access to computers, internet, e-libraries, and study materials for competitive exams. These centres aim to reduce the dependence of rural youth on urban resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government is also focusing on holistic youth development through education, technology, and social awareness. The DREAM programme (Digital Readiness and Empowerment through Assisted Mentoring) will benefit 50,000 students in its first phase. Additionally, 400 schools will be upgraded into CM-RISE institutions to provide modern educational infrastructure. Emphasis is being placed on STEM education\u2014Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics\u2014to build scientific temperament among youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special initiatives are being rolled out for marginalised groups. A skill development centre named after Major Shaitan Singh will support ex-servicemen and their families. Meanwhile, the Raj-PAHAL programme will introduce \u201cSchools on Wheels\u201d for children from nomadic communities, ensuring access to education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To combat substance abuse, the Raj-SAVERA programme focuses on awareness, prevention, and rehabilitation. Alongside this, the state is investing heavily in sports infrastructure, including stadium upgrades and funding for the Maharana Pratap Sports University. Financial incentives for school-level sports competitions have also been doubled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through these multi-dimensional initiatives, Rajasthan is empowering its youth to become self-reliant and future-ready.
