Committee to Closely Monitor Issues of Workers and Concerned Parties<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gautam Buddh Nagar, April 2026 : Acting on the directions of the Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister, a high-level committee has been constituted in Gautam Buddh Nagar district to address the emerging situation of industrial unrest. The initiative aims to maintain industrial harmony, ensure law and order, and establish effective communication with workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In line with the Chief Minister\u2019s instructions, an important meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Industrial Development Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh, who is also the head of the committee. The meeting took place at the auditorium of the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority and was attended by worker representatives and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior officials present at the meeting included the Additional Chief Secretary of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department, the Principal Secretary of the Labour and Employment Department, and the Labour Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh (Member Secretary), along with the Divisional Commissioner of Meerut Division, the District Magistrate of Gautam Buddh Nagar, and senior administrative and police officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, the committee carefully listened to the concerns of workers employed in various companies across the district. Workers raised several key issues, including demands for wage hikes, weekly holidays, double payment for overtime work, protection of labour rights, and the need for a respectful and safe working environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adopting a positive and sensitive approach, the committee assured workers that safeguarding their interests would remain a top priority. It also emphasized that strict compliance with labour laws would be ensured across all companies operating in the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, the committee appealed to workers to maintain peace and return to their workplaces in an orderly manner. It urged them to avoid paying attention to rumors or misleading information and to rely only on official communications. This, the committee said, is essential for maintaining harmony, trust, and stability in the industrial environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The committee will continue to hold discussions in multiple phases with workers and other stakeholders and will closely monitor all issues to ensure timely resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
