Bengal, April 2026 : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited the Nakuleshwar Shiva Temple in Bhawanipur, Kolkata, to offer prayers on the occasion of the concluding day of the Bengali New Year and the auspicious Shiva Gajan festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During her visit, the Chief Minister prayed to Lord Shiva for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the people of the state. Shiva Gajan, a traditional and deeply revered festival in Bengal, is dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva and is marked by elaborate rituals and large gatherings of devotees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
