In Beed district, financial assistance amounting to approximately Rs 13.69 crore has been disbursed to 1,773 patients during the financial year.

Under the vision of Devendra Fadnavis, several reforms have been introduced to streamline healthcare assistance. These include the establishment of district-level facilitation cells, implementation of a paperless application process, and faster disposal of applications. Additionally, partnerships through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and crowdfunding initiatives have enabled support from private hospitals, charitable institutions, and donors.

These improvements in the functioning of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund have enhanced transparency and significantly increased the speed of aid distribution. As a result, a larger number of eligible patients are now receiving timely financial assistance.

The scheme provides aid for treatment of 20 serious medical conditions, including cochlear implant procedures for children aged 2 to 6, heart, liver, kidney, and lung transplants, bone marrow transplants, knee and hip replacements, cancer surgeries, dialysis, chemotherapy and radiation, treatment for brain disorders, neonatal illnesses, burn injuries, and accident-related cases.

A key development in expanding support came through a recent MoU facilitated under the Chief Minister’s initiative. The Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Cell has partnered with BPCL Foundation and Tata Memorial Centre to support cancer treatment for children. This collaboration will ensure availability of dedicated funds under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), making quality cancer care more accessible for economically weaker patients.

During the period from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, a total of 40,776 patients across the state received financial assistance amounting to over Rs 333.06 crore. Out of this, Beed district alone accounted for aid of approximately Rs 13.69 crore distributed among 1,773 beneficiaries.

Recognising the difficulties faced by patients and their families, especially in navigating complex procedures, the government has simplified processes and ensured quicker access to funds. These reforms have helped reduce delays and improve overall efficiency in delivering healthcare support.

Officials have urged eligible patients to take advantage of the scheme. For more information or assistance, citizens can contact the toll-free helpline number 1800-123-2211, as informed by Rameshwar Naik, head of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and Charitable Hospital Assistance Cell.

Beed, April 2026 : The Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Fund has emerged as a crucial support system for eligible and needy patients who were unable to receive aid under other government health schemes.
