Officials stated that no coal or mining material was found during the inspection; however, large-scale illegal operations had been carried out there earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A day prior to this action, an intensive campaign had been conducted in the Devkhol forest area under Patna tehsil. During that operation, more than six tonnes of illegally mined coal were seized. Several illegal tunnels, which had been used for coal extraction over a long period, were also destroyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the \u0905\u092d\u093f\u092f\u093e\u0928, the team entered tunnels stretching nearly 150 metres in length. They not only recovered coal but also seized various tools used in mining, including shovels, pickaxes, electric pumps, flexible pipes, and large quantities of electrical wiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sunday\u2019s operation saw participation from officials not only from Koriya but also from Surajpur district, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district, and Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, along with personnel from local police, forest, and revenue departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials said that surveillance in these areas would be further strengthened through coordination between the forest and mining departments as well as South Eastern Coalfields Limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The administration has made it clear that all identified illegal mining sites will be sealed through blasting to ensure that such activities do not recur in the future.
