Mumbai, April 2026 : The Maharashtra government has approved special incentives for 18 large and mega projects worth \u20b92,56,137.01 crore, aiming to significantly boost investment and generate employment across the state. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the projects are expected to create over one lakh direct and indirect jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The approvals were granted during the 14th \u092c\u0948\u0920\u0915 (meeting) of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Industries, Energy, Labour, and Mining, chaired by Fadnavis. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Industries Minister Uday Samant, Chief Secretary Rajesh Agrawal, and other senior officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The proposals focus on thrust sectors and advanced technologies such as solar cells and modules, green steel, green ammonia, electronics, space and defence equipment, lithium-ion batteries, electric vehicles, and gas-to-chemical production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the approved projects, Virtuoso Compressors Pvt. Ltd. will invest \u20b9800 crore in Nashik, generating 500 jobs. Tembo Defence Products Pvt. Ltd. plans a \u20b91,000 crore investment in Amravati. In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nidec Global Appliances India Pvt. Ltd. will invest \u20b91,000 crore to create 1,000 jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Pune\u2019s Shirur region, Jabil Circuit India Pvt. Ltd. will invest \u20b91,500 crore, generating employment for 3,000 people. Hariom Pipe Industries Ltd. will invest \u20b93,135 crore in Gadchiroli, creating 8,000 jobs, while Nibe Space in Ahilyanagar will bring \u20b94,000 crore and generate 1,000 jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eurobus India Pvt. Ltd. plans a \u20b94,200 crore investment in Talegaon, Pune, creating 12,000 jobs. Million Steel Pvt. Ltd. will invest \u20b9256.01 crore in Chandrapur, generating 360 jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Major investments include \u20b910,000 crore by Ashok Leyland in Bhandara and \u20b911,400 crore by ACME Cleantech Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Butibori, Nagpur, creating 7,000 jobs. The same company will invest \u20b911,000 crore in a green steel project in Raigad\/Palghar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Solar Defence and Aerospace Ltd. will invest \u20b912,780 crore in Nagpur, while Globe Forge Limited will invest \u20b915,430 crore in Ahilyanagar and Dharashiv. Balasore Alloys will invest \u20b917,479 crore in Raigad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Godavari New Energy Pvt. Ltd. will invest \u20b927,515 crore in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. ACME Cleantech\u2019s green ammonia project in Raigad\/Palghar will bring \u20b937,800 crore and 4,500 jobs. Rashmi Metallurgical Industries Pvt. Ltd. will invest \u20b940,000 crore in Gadchiroli, generating 20,000 jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The largest investment comes from Essar Exploration and Production Ltd., which will invest \u20b956,852 crore in Raigad, creating 25,000 jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The government said these projects will accelerate industrial development in regions such as Konkan, Vidarbha, and Marathwada, strengthen local economies, and promote innovation, research, and supply chain growth.
