Jaipur, April 2026:<\/strong> A review meeting on the progress of the Chief Minister\u2019s Developed Village\/Urban Ward Campaign was held on Thursday at the State Secretariat. The meeting was chaired by Ravi Jain, Secretary of the Autonomous Governance Department, and Dr. Joga Ram, Secretary and Commissioner of the Panchayati Raj Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, Narayan Lal Paliwal, Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Rajasthan Institute for Transformation and Innovation (RITI), presented an update on the progress made under the campaign so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A detailed review was conducted on activities being carried out at the Gram Panchayat and urban ward levels. Discussions focused on the status of baseline surveys, data entry, GIS mapping, and preparation of master plans. Officials were instructed to complete all tasks within the stipulated timelines and ensure effective implementation of the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravi Jain emphasised the importance of maintaining data quality while ensuring timely data collection, entry, and GIS mapping. He directed officials to make effective use of the SSO ID mapping and reporting modules. He also instructed that data quality checks be conducted regularly at block and urban local body levels. Additionally, he called for the swift completion of Gram\/Ward Sabha meetings and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and urged coordination with the Statistics Department to utilise available data, including e-Gram resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To strengthen monitoring and execution, Jain directed that in-charge officers be appointed for every 4\u20135 Gram Panchayats or urban wards, and that their details be shared accordingly. He also instructed the establishment of helpdesks at the field level to provide technical support and ensure timely resolution of issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Joga Ram directed officials to complete all processes by April 25 and organise special Gram Sabha meetings. He stressed that aspirations of citizens should be recorded accurately and comprehensively at the ward level. He also suggested providing an option for manual entry of data to ensure inclusivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further instructed officials to engage with districts showing slower progress and to hold regular review meetings at the block level. Warning against negligence, he said strict action would be taken against officials failing to perform their duties effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was attended by officials from RITI, district nodal officers (both rural and urban), representatives from the Information Technology and Communication Department, the Economics and Statistics Department, and Gram Panchayat and urban ward in-charges, many of whom joined via video conferencing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister\u2019s Developed Village\/Urban Ward Campaign was launched on March 19. The initiative aims to transform development into a people\u2019s movement by preparing dynamic master plans at the village and urban ward levels based on local needs.
