Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. M.K. Stalin, congratulated the teachers who received the National Teacher Award for 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Teacher’s Day is celebrated on September 5, commemorating the birthday of the great scholar and former President of India, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. On this special day, the National Teacher Award is presented to distinguished teachers across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the 2024 National Teacher Award, 102 teachers from 38 states and union territories submitted applications. Out of these, two teachers from Tamil Nadu were selected for their excellence in teaching and their innovative approaches in education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. R. Thangapandian, a middle school teacher at the Panchayat Union Middle School in Rajakuppam, Tiruvallur District, was recognized for his holistic approach to teaching, including efforts in mental health awareness for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Similarly, Mr. R. G. Muralidharan, a vocational instructor at Lakshmipuram TVS High School in Madurai, specializing in Basic Automobile Engineering, was selected for his contributions to integrating technology into education and enhancing the students’ learning experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both teachers received the “National Best Teacher Award” from the Honorable President of India during a ceremony held on September 5 in New Delhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today (4.10.2024), the award-winning teachers, Mr. R. Thangapandian and Mr. R. G. Muralidharan, met the Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. M.K. Stalin, at the Secretariat, where they presented their awards and received his congratulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
