In the previous edition, the writer has demonstrated the very basics of the commencement of the worship of Mother Jagadhatri with the auspicious \u201cKATHAMO PUJA\u201d <\/strong>on the august evening of Bijoy Dashami. At the same time, vide the announcement statement it was reaffirmed that it is \u201cKhar Bandha \u2013 Compilation of Straws\u201d which is to be performed immediately thereafter to contrive the basis of the structure of the idol, after the formal completion of the Kojagari Lakshmi Puja. As per rituals the \u201cKhar Bandha\u201d<\/strong> has commenced from 20th<\/sup>. October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The transformation within: As it is very noteworthy that Barasat Chutarpara Jagadhatri Puja Committee celebrates the worship under a specially erected worship place fondly called the \u2018Mandap\u2019 crafted out of bamboo, designer clothes strong enough to withstand any climatic conditions. Such an erection is given shape to with stringent precautions and effective mechanism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immediately after the KATHAMO PUJA, the organisers plunge into the Non-Stochastic process of constructing the worship place \u2013 a transformative journey from a mere shelter to the most revered temple (although temporary).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It reminds about the most immaculate scripts of the legendary film maker Satyajit Ray, those which were so irreproachable, even when it was filmed several months later; like the anticipated awaiting for filming the rain scene in \u201cPather Panchali\u201d to the obtaining of permission from Indian Railways in getting atop the train compartment roof for filming \u201cSonar Kella\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Much before the happening of \u201cKhar Bandha\u201d, a well organised shelter-structure was erected, enabling the craftsmen to begin their work void of the scorching sunlight, along with allowing the organisers & volunteers to ruminate on the efficacies while monitoring the execution of their aspirations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At dusk the compilation of the straws began by artisan Mr. Sunil Nath, and his team. Mr. Nath himself started sorting the straws & preparing it for the bindings to be executed by his three accomplice. It was indeed a spell bounding effect when the four managed to give the shape to the bottomneath elephant, representing the Karindrasura (Maha Gaja), within 45 minutes time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only the \u201cKhar Bandha\u201d promulgate a sheer beginning, but it also marks the active involvement and association of the residents from the commencement to the conclusion. It is the epitome of each other\u2019s harvest; each other\u2019s business, along-with each other\u2019s magnitude and bond \u2013 a state of harmony which constitutes a model community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
