This year, the festival will be held at a <strong>new venue<\/strong>, where rapid construction is underway to ensure adequate facilities for devotees. A crucial meeting was held today at Rajim Circuit House, attended by <strong>Raipur Division Commissioner Mahadev Kavre, Tourism Board MD Vivek Acharya, Gariaband Collector Deepak Agrawal<\/strong>, and senior officials from Dhamtari and Raipur districts. Following the meeting, officials inspected the new venue and reviewed the progress of the arrangements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rajim Kumbh Kalp, often referred to as the <strong>\u2018Prayagraj of Chhattisgarh,\u2019<\/strong> is one of the most prominent spiritual and cultural gatherings in the state. The event is held from <strong>Magh Purnima to Mahashivratri<\/strong> and attracts saints, devotees, and tourists from across the country. This year, it will take place from <strong>February 12 to February 26, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Commissioner Kavre directed officials to ensure a <strong>grand and well-organized event<\/strong>, emphasizing inter-departmental coordination to complete all works by <strong>February 5<\/strong>. He instructed the <strong>rapid completion of the main stage, stalls, departmental kiosks, Meena Bazaar, food zones<\/strong>, and other essential structures. Additionally, large-scale <strong>parking facilities<\/strong> are being developed, and a <strong>helipad<\/strong> is under construction to facilitate smooth transportation for devotees and dignitaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials have been tasked with <strong>road construction along the riverbank<\/strong>, connecting <strong>Ganga Aarti Sthal to the new fairground<\/strong>. The venue will be equipped with <strong>high-mast lights, adequate toilets, dustbins<\/strong>, and other amenities. Security measures include a <strong>control room, CCTV cameras, dedicated bus services<\/strong>, ambulances, medical teams, and <strong>health services<\/strong> for the visitors. Facilities such as <strong>huts for saints, firewood supplies, drinking water pipelines<\/strong>, and <strong>Dal-Bhat centers<\/strong> are also being arranged. Additionally, <strong>police forces, CCTV surveillance, and fire safety teams<\/strong> will be deployed to ensure safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the meeting, <strong>Commissioner Kavre, Tourism Board MD Acharya, and Collector Agrawal<\/strong> inspected the <strong>main stage, VIP parking, general parking, Meena Bazaar, food zone, control room, pathways<\/strong>, and the <strong>helipad site<\/strong>. They also reviewed the development of <strong>Rajiv Lochan Temple, the saint congregation site<\/strong>, and the <strong>Ganga Aarti route<\/strong>, instructing their rapid completion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rajim Kumbh Kalp is not just a religious event but also a <strong>significant platform for cultural heritage and tourism<\/strong>. The festival will feature <strong>royal baths, saint congregations, discourses, Ganga Aarti<\/strong>, and various <strong>cultural performances<\/strong>.
