Stalin<\/strong>, distributed <strong>financial assistance worth \u20b940 crore<\/strong> under the welfare schemes of the <strong>Tamil Nadu Iyal Isai Nataka Mandram<\/strong>. This aid was extended to <strong>45 artists and their families<\/strong> as part of the <strong>state government\u2019s commitment to preserving and promoting traditional arts and culture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At an event held at the <strong>Tamil Nadu Secretariat<\/strong>, the <strong>Chief Minister granted financial support to artists facing hardship<\/strong>, along with funds to <strong>promote Tamil literature, theatre, and dance dramas<\/strong>. The aid was distributed as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u20b91 lakh each<\/strong> to <strong>10 senior artists<\/strong> who have received the <strong>Kalaimamani Award<\/strong> but are now in financial distress.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u20b92 lakh each<\/strong> to <strong>5 authors<\/strong> for publishing rare and profound literary works in Tamil.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u20b91.5 lakh each<\/strong> to <strong>5 theatre artists<\/strong> and <strong>5 dance drama artists<\/strong> for producing and staging new Tamil plays and dance dramas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u20b925,000 each<\/strong> to the <strong>families of 20 deceased artists<\/strong> to support their living expenses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Legacy of Cultural Support<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Tamil Nadu Iyal Isai Nataka Mandram<\/strong>, originally established as the <strong>Tamil Nadu Sangeetha Nataka Sangam in 1955<\/strong>, was later restructured in <strong>1973<\/strong> by the legendary <strong>Muthamizh Arignar Kalaignar<\/strong> to foster <strong>literature, music, and drama in Tamil<\/strong>. Operating under the <strong>Department of Tourism, Culture, and Religious Endowments<\/strong>, the organization plays a crucial role in <strong>preserving traditional arts, supporting rural folk artists, reviving fading art forms, and promoting Tamil culture on national and international platforms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event, the <strong>Chief Minister personally handed over cheques<\/strong> to several recipients, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>10 senior artists<\/strong> in financial distress.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>5 Tamil scholars and authors<\/strong> to support the publication of <strong>important literary works<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>4 theatre and dance drama artists<\/strong> for new productions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2 families of deceased artists<\/strong> for financial support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was attended by <strong>Minister for Tamil Development and Information Mr. M.P. Saminathan<\/strong>, <strong>Chief Secretary Mr. N. Muruganandam, IAS<\/strong>, <strong>Additional Chief Secretary of the Tourism, Culture, and Religious Endowments Department Dr. K.
