Mumbai : Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik has directed all concerned departments to ensure excellent planning for the celebration of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar\u2019s Jayanti on April 14, incorporating innovative concepts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A review meeting was held at the Mantralaya to discuss preparations for the event. The meeting was attended by Bhante Dr. Rahul Bodhi Mahathero, Nagasen Kamble, representatives from the Bharatiya Buddhist Mahasabha, the Dadar Chaityabhoomi Memorial Committee, and heads of all relevant departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chief Secretary Saunik emphasized that a large number of followers and citizens visit the Chaityabhoomi premises to pay tribute on the occasion of the Jayanti. Given the summer season, she instructed that protective tents<\/strong> be arranged to provide shade and that all essential amenities be of the highest standard. Adequate drinking water facilities<\/strong> must be ensured at the venue. Additionally, traffic police should effectively manage traffic in Dadar and surrounding areas<\/strong> and install signboards at key locations. The BEST<\/strong> should arrange sufficient bus services between Dadar Station and Chaityabhoomi<\/strong> to accommodate visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Since a significant number of visitors purchase books during the celebrations, she directed that stalls featuring books, literature, and supplementary materials<\/strong> from reputed publishers be set up at the venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Furthermore, Chief Secretary Saunik instructed the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Police, Railways, BEST, Information & Public Relations Department, District Collectorate, Cultural Department, Social Justice Department, and all other concerned authorities<\/strong> to conduct review meetings at their respective levels.
