{"id":46006,"date":"2025-05-08T18:40:49","date_gmt":"2025-05-08T18:40:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/?p=46006"},"modified":"2025-05-08T18:40:50","modified_gmt":"2025-05-08T18:40:50","slug":"delivery-of-arnala-first-anti-submarine-warfare-shallow-water-craft-to-the-indian-navy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/?p=46006","title":{"rendered":"Delivery Of \u2018Arnala\u2019- First Anti Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft To The Indian Navy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>\u2018Arnala\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, the first of the eight&nbsp;<strong>ASW SWCs (Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft)<\/strong>, indigenously designed and built&nbsp;<strong>by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata<\/strong>, was delivered to the Indian Navy on&nbsp;<strong>08 May 25<\/strong>&nbsp;at&nbsp;<strong>M\/s L&amp;T Shipyard, Kattupalli<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The warship has been designed and constructed as per the Classification Rules of&nbsp;<strong>Indian Register of Shipping (IRS)<\/strong>&nbsp;under a&nbsp;<strong>Public-Private Partnership (PPP)<\/strong>&nbsp;of GRSE with M\/s L&amp;T Shipyard, thus demonstrating the success of collaborative defence manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Arnala<\/em>&nbsp;is named after the historic fort&nbsp;<strong><em>\u2018Arnala\u2019<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;located&nbsp;<strong>off Vasai, Maharashtra<\/strong>, a reflection of India\u2019s rich maritime heritage. The&nbsp;<strong>77 m<\/strong>&nbsp;long warship, is the largest Indian Naval warship propelled by a Diesel Engine-Waterjet combination. The ship has been designed for&nbsp;<strong>underwater surveillance, search &amp; rescue operations<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Low Intensity Maritime Operations (LIMO)<\/strong>. The ship is capable of undertaking ASW operations in coastal waters, along with advanced mine laying capabilities.
