He called the campaign a <strong>transformational movement<\/strong> for the state and emphasized the need to extend it from city wards and neighborhoods to <strong>every revenue village<\/strong>. He urged for maximum public engagement and awareness at all levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister Meena reviewed the campaign on Monday in <strong>Ajmer<\/strong> and directed Education Department officials to <strong>intensify awareness activities<\/strong> among students about water conservation and environmental consciousness. He instructed the <strong>Public Works Department<\/strong> to plant trees along roadsides and told <strong>urban local bodies<\/strong> to increase efforts in organizing <strong>shramdaan (voluntary labor), workshops, and public awareness programs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Minister made it clear that it is the responsibility of <strong>every department<\/strong> to organize more and more activities to ensure the <strong>state government\u2019s objectives<\/strong> of water conservation and environmental protection reach every citizen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He stressed that <strong>every officer is accountable<\/strong> for implementing schemes that mobilize public participation in water harvesting and ecological preservation, especially in <strong>dark zone areas<\/strong> where groundwater levels are critically low. He highlighted the need to <strong>select plant species suitable to the local environment<\/strong> as part of the \u201c<strong>Hariyalo Rajasthan<\/strong>\u201d (Greener Rajasthan) campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Progress was presented regarding departmental assignments under the campaign. Updates included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Urban bodies<\/strong> working on <strong>wall paintings at Luv-Kush Vatika<\/strong> and cleaning of water sources.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Animal Husbandry Department<\/strong> taking up cleanliness drives in <strong>gaushalas<\/strong> (cow shelters) and supporting water conservation and plantation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Public Health Engineering Department (PHED)<\/strong> working on the cleaning of <strong>water tanks and other water sources<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting also reviewed the progress and implementation status of various tasks. <strong>Ajmer District Collector Shri Lokbandhu<\/strong> informed that regular monitoring is being conducted for departmental activities. He stated that the <strong>Forest Department<\/strong> has prepared over <strong>500,000 pits<\/strong> in pre-monsoon efforts for a large-scale plantation drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minister Meena Inspects \u2018Vande Ganga\u2019 Labour Initiative in Ajmer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On Monday, Revenue Minister <strong>Hemant Meena<\/strong> inspected on-ground activities under the <em>Vande Ganga Jan Abhiyan<\/em>. He visited the shores of <strong>Ana Sagar Lake<\/strong>, where a three-day <em>shramdaan campaign<\/em> was underway and appreciated the <strong>active participation<\/strong> of both administration and citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his inspection, the Minister reviewed the <strong>cleanliness status<\/strong> around the lake and received updates on work done so far. He instructed <strong>municipal officers<\/strong> to complete all pending cleaning activities within the stipulated timeframe. He further directed that <strong>post-campaign maintenance, cleaning, and monitoring<\/strong> should be institutionalized in a <strong>planned and regular manner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shri Meena highlighted that <em>Vande Ganga<\/em> is a <strong>visionary initiative<\/strong> of Chief Minister <strong>Bhajanlal Sharma<\/strong>, aimed at promoting cleanliness, protection of water sources, and <strong>enhancing public awareness<\/strong>. He said the campaign should not be treated as a mere government initiative but seen as a <strong>people\u2019s movement<\/strong>, requiring <strong>active involvement of every citizen<\/strong>.
