Present at the meeting were <strong>District Collector Dr. Mittali Sethi<\/strong>, <strong>Superintendent of Police Shrawan Datt S.<\/strong>, <strong>Additional Superintendent of Police Ashit Kamble<\/strong>, <strong>Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sanjay Mahajan<\/strong>, <strong>District Women and Child Development Officer Vinod Valvi<\/strong>, and <strong>Deputy Education Officer (Primary) Dr. Yunus Pathan<\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She stated that <strong>all cases forwarded by the Women\u2019s Commission have been resolved<\/strong> by the district police administration through counseling centers and Bharosa Cells. She appreciated the swift action and emphasized that <strong>no pending cases from the commission remain unresolved<\/strong> in the district. She underlined the importance of taking <strong>domestic violence complaints seriously<\/strong> and suggested that the <strong>District Legal Services Authority and police<\/strong> play a proactive role in resolving such cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Chakankar also emphasized that in cases where courts have ordered compensation to women but payments are not made regularly, <strong>such matters must be brought to the court\u2019s attention<\/strong> and <strong>immediate legal action<\/strong> should be taken. \u201cThose who try to evade responsibility through legal loopholes must also be treated as offenders and punished accordingly,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"575\" src=\"https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-95-1024x575.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-56824\" style=\"width:558px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-95-1024x575.png 1024w, https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-95-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-95-768x431.png 768w, https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-95-845x475.png 845w, https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-95.png 1068w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>She issued directives for <strong>immediate action against private sonography centers<\/strong> involved in <strong>illegal sex determination<\/strong>, urging district officials to act swiftly on such violations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She also instructed the administration to verify whether <strong>Internal Complaints Committees (ICCs)<\/strong> have been established in <strong>government, semi-government, and private organizations<\/strong> to handle <strong>sexual harassment at the workplace<\/strong>. The <strong>Deputy Commissioner of Labour<\/strong> must verify and submit a detailed report to the Commission within <strong>15 days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Chakankar noted that the Commission has been conducting <strong>statewide public hearings for women\u2019s grievances<\/strong> in every district, and with the cooperation of <strong>Collectors, Police, and Legal Services Authorities<\/strong>, several issues have been resolved. <strong>Domestic violence remains the most reported grievance<\/strong>, but <strong>many families have been reconciled through counseling<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Calling <strong>dowry deaths a social evil<\/strong>, she urged society to <strong>unite as human beings<\/strong> to combat such practices. She stressed that <strong>women must be aware of their constitutional rights and legal protections<\/strong>, and encouraged them to stand against <strong>female foeticide and child marriage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She advised women facing <strong>domestic violence<\/strong> to file complaints with the <strong>Family Court<\/strong> and approach the <strong>Bharosa Cell<\/strong> for resolution. If issues remain unresolved, they can escalate the matter to the <strong>State Women\u2019s Commission<\/strong>, which is committed to ensuring women\u2019s <strong>safety and empowerment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event, <strong>District Collector Dr. Mittali Sethi<\/strong> provided updates on district-level efforts to tackle <strong>child marriage, maternal deaths, dowry deaths<\/strong>, and other women-related issues. <strong>Superintendent of Police Shrawan Datt<\/strong> briefed the Commission Chairperson on how the <strong>police are using social media, Dial 112, legal awareness campaigns<\/strong>, and the <strong>Bharosa Cell<\/strong> to support women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inauguration of Women\u2019s Counseling Center<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Later, <strong>Ms. Rupali Chakankar<\/strong> inaugurated a <strong>Women\u2019s Counseling and Dialogue Center<\/strong> at the <strong>City Police Station<\/strong>.
