He instructed the CEO of the Zila Parishad to ensure the building receives an electricity connection promptly.

Recognizing the urgent need for a suitable building to facilitate the operations of the Satellite Hospital Kotda, Shri Devnani inspected the hostel premises. During his visit, the building’s condition, structure, and suitability for hospital use were thoroughly reviewed. Officials present held detailed discussions on the feasibility of operating the hospital from the hostel building and received necessary directives.

Shri Devnani stated that the upcoming satellite hospital in Kotda will serve a population of one lakh. It will offer services across all key medical departments and significantly reduce the load on Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital, which currently serves as the largest medical facility in the Ajmer division. Notably, the state budget has allocated several hundred crore rupees for Ajmer’s development, and this hospital is part of that vision. The hospital is being constructed with an investment of several crores and will feature 50 beds, providing comprehensive healthcare services.

He noted that Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital currently faces excessive pressure from patients across the entire division, affecting the quality of care. Likewise, the Urban Community Health Centre at Panchsheel caters to local residents, but the new satellite hospital will provide much-needed relief to both urban and rural populations, especially to around one lakh residents in the region.

The Assembly Speaker emphasized that a comprehensive rebuilding of Ajmer is underway and called for collective support from all stakeholders. He further announced that work will soon begin to introduce super-specialty medical services at Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital. Once these are operational, patients from the division will no longer need to travel to Jaipur or Delhi for advanced treatment — they will receive quality care right in Ajmer. Additionally, new hospital units will be launched soon to further enhance local healthcare infrastructure.

Jaipur : The newly announced satellite hospital in Ajmer’s Kotda region will soon begin functioning from the Government Tribal Girls’ Residential Hostel located on Pushkar Road, until the construction of its dedicated building is completed.
