This assistance is designed to help farmers purchase quality seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and adopt modern farming techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chhattisgarh&#8217;s largely rain-fed agricultural landscape is prone to climatic uncertainties and increasing input costs, leading to unstable farm incomes. Many farmers are unable to invest adequately in essential inputs due to financial constraints. The <strong>Kisan Unnati Yojana<\/strong> seeks to address this challenge by providing financial relief and promoting sustainable investments in agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Provisions:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Input Assistance:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u20b911,000 per acre for farmers transitioning from paddy to other Kharif crops.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u20b910,000 per acre for farmers cultivating <strong>pulses, oilseeds, maize, small millets (kodo, kutki, ragi), and cotton<\/strong> during Kharif.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Only farmers <strong>registered on the Integrated Farmer Portal<\/strong> are eligible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Farmers must have sold paddy or paddy seeds to state cooperatives or Chhattisgarh State Seeds and Agriculture Development Corporation in the previous Kharif season.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The scheme applies to those shifting from paddy to other Kharif crops this season.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Institutions such as trusts, private limited companies, school committees, or state\/central government organizations are <strong>not eligible<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payments will comply with the <strong>agricultural land ceiling laws<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Payment Mechanism:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into farmers\u2019 bank accounts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For paddy sold in the last season:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u20b9731 per quintal for <strong>common paddy<\/strong>, up to \u20b915,351 per acre.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u20b9711 per quintal for <strong>Grade-A paddy<\/strong>, up to \u20b914,931 per acre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Implementation Agencies:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The scheme will be implemented through <strong>Markfed<\/strong>, the <strong>Department of Food<\/strong>, <strong>Chhattisgarh State Seeds and Agriculture Development Corporation Ltd<\/strong>, and the <strong>Directorate of Agriculture<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>primary objective<\/strong> of the Kisan Unnati Yojana is to increase crop coverage, productivity, and farmers&#8217; incomes by reducing cultivation costs and promoting a knowledge-based, diversified, and profitable farming model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scheme will be <strong>implemented from Kharif 2025<\/strong> and is expected to bring a transformational change in the agricultural landscape of Chhattisgarh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Raipur : Under the Kisan Unnati Yojana, farmers in Chhattisgarh cultivating pulses, oilseeds, maize, and small millets in the upcoming Kharif season will now receive input support assistance from the state government.
