Evacuating people from waterlogged areas is of utmost importance. He emphasized that the district and police administration, Home Guards, and disaster management teams must work together with full alertness and vigilance in rain-affected areas. Relief and rescue teams should be fully prepared and ensure that every kind of assistance reaches those in need without delay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Wednesday, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited the disaster management room (State Command Center) located at the Home Guard Headquarters to assess the situation caused by&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mpinfo.org\/mpinfonew\/photogallary\/picture\/Bhopal\/Wednesday,%20July%2030,%202025\/L-Bhopal300725120652.jpg\" alt=\"\">heavy rains in several districts of the state and to review public safety management with officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the review meeting, Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Home Shri J.N. Kansotia, Director General of Police Shri&nbsp;&nbsp;Kailash Makwana, DG Home Guard Ms. Pragya Srivastava, ADG Shri A. Sai Manohar, Secretary and Commissioner Public Relations Shri Sudam Khade and other officials were present. It was informed that heavy rainfall has been continuing for the past three days in the state, and over 2,900 people have so far been safely evacuated from villages and homes affected by flooding in some districts. Wherever reports of excessive rainfall or people being trapped in floodwater have come in, rescue operations are being carried out with full force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chief Minister Dr. Yadav observed live operations of the relief and rescue work underway in districts from the disaster control room. He interacted with officers deployed in the rescue teams and gathered information about operations. He inquired whether there was any shortage of resources for flood rescue work. Officers assured that all resources are available and support is also coming from villagers and civil society. Dr. Yadav also interacted with flood victims who had been evacuated from submerged areas and assured them that the government stands by them at every step. He said the government will compensate for all losses, including homes, belongings, crops, and livestock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Those Who Help Save Lives Will Be Honoured<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Yadav instructed district collectors to take every precaution and keep all disaster control arrangements ready. In case of flooding, rescue operations must begin immediately. He directed that once the floodwaters recede, damage assessment surveys should be conducted promptly, and formal proposals should be prepared for compensation. He assured that every flood victim will receive complete assistance from the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Collectors reported that social organizations have also assisted in evacuating people from flood-affected areas. The Chief Minister directed that a list be prepared of brave and helpful individuals who contributed to saving lives. These individuals will be honored and awarded on Independence Day and other occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Yadav took detailed reports on flood relief and rescue operations in the districts of Guna, Shivpuri, Datia and Ashoknagar (Gwalior division); Sagar, Damoh and Chhatarpur (Sagar division); and Vidisha and Raisen (Bhopal division). He observed live rescue efforts and, in conversation with the officials, reiterated that saving lives is a noble service. He urged them to perform their duties with full dedication and to inform the government of any required support. He said that if it is not possible to rescue someone by boat, the government will airlift affected individuals using helicopters. He emphasized that the state government is fully prepared to deal with any situation and is taking all necessary steps to ensure public safety amid heavy rainfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Minister also reviewed district-level arrangements, alert systems, monitoring mechanisms, and all rescue operations carried out so far from the disaster management room. He instructed that all district-level flood control rooms remain continuously active and work in close coordination with the administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Do Not Use Bridges Or Culverts With Strong Currents<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Yadav urged citizens to remain extremely alert and cautious until rains subside. He encouraged people to help rescue flood-affected individuals. He advised citizens to avoid entering flooded rivers and streams and not to use bridges or culverts with heavy currents. He also warned against exposed electric wires due to the risk of electrocution and urged those living in mud houses to remain especially cautious, as these structures are at risk of collapse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He directed collectors to ensure safe shelter, food, clean drinking water, medicine, clothing, and other essentials for rescued flood victims. He reiterated that no affected person would be left helpless and that the government stands with every flood victim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also discussed flood conditions, rescue operations, and relief efforts with officials and collectors in various districts. He stated that the government, administration, army, and disaster response teams are all working together to rescue affected individuals, and that no effort should be spared. If heavy rainfall alerts are issued in their districts, collectors should, if needed, declare holidays for school children to prevent any untoward incidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Referring to weather department alerts, he directed all collectors to remain on high alert and immediately deploy relief and rescue teams wherever flood-like situations arise. He advised strengthening alert systems and monitoring networks, as faster information leads to faster response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Notably<\/strong>, the weather department has issued warnings for extremely heavy rain at some locations in Narmadapuram, Harda, Guna, Shivpuri, and Raisen districts in the next 24 hours; very heavy rain in Vidisha, Sehore, Rajgarh, Betul, Bhopal, Khandwa, Dewas, Shajapur, Narsinghpur, Sheopur, Agar-Malwa, Neemuch, Ashoknagar, Pandhurna, and Chhindwara; and heavy rain in Khargone, Alirajpur, Dhar, Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Jabalpur, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari.
