At a felicitation ceremony held at <strong>Kanya Bhawan in Bilha<\/strong>, he honored <strong>28 Swachhata Didis<\/strong>, <strong>20 sanitation workers<\/strong>, and <strong>10 cleanliness commandos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notably, Bilha secured the <strong>top rank<\/strong> in the <strong>Swachh Survekshan 2024-25<\/strong>, conducted by the Government of India, in the category of towns with a population under 20,000. The event was attended by <strong>Bilha MLA Shri Dharamlal Kaushik<\/strong> and <strong>CREDA Chairman Shri Bhupendra Savanni<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Swachhata Workers Honored for National Recognition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Deputy CM Arun Sao stated, <em>\u201cThanks to you, Chhattisgarh has earned national prestige. Being ranked first in cleanliness is a matter of pride for all of us, and we must now work to maintain this achievement. Every resident of Bilha must pledge their commitment to cleanliness.\u201d<\/em> He administered a <strong>cleanliness oath<\/strong> to everyone present at the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shri Sao emphasized that under <strong>Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi&#8217;s leadership<\/strong>, cleanliness has become a <strong>nationwide movement<\/strong>. Cleanliness is a part of our <strong>culture and nature<\/strong>, he said, and keeping our town clean is as important as keeping our homes clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He informed the audience that in the <strong>Swachh Survekshan 2024-25<\/strong> conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, <strong>Chhattisgarh received national recognition<\/strong> for its excellent performance in cleanliness. Out of the <strong>169 cities<\/strong> from the state that participated, <strong>115 improved their rankings<\/strong>. The contributions of Swachhata Didis and sanitation workers were <strong>instrumental<\/strong> in this success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Development Funds for Bilha Will Not Be a Problem<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Deputy CM Sao assured the public that <strong>there will be no shortage of funds<\/strong> for Bilha\u2019s development. <em>\u201cAs soon as proposals are received, funds will be approved the next day,\u201d<\/em> he announced. He called on <strong>public representatives, officials<\/strong>, and <strong>residents<\/strong> to continue working together to keep Bilha <strong>clean and beautiful<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bilha\u2019s Historic Achievement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>MLA <strong>Shri Dharamlal Kaushik<\/strong> said, <em>\u201cBilha\u2019s name is now written in the pages of history. To be ranked first nationwide is a proud moment for all of us. Prime Minister Modi had called from the ramparts of the Red Fort for a nationwide cleanliness drive, and today it has become a true people\u2019s movement. Even children are now aware and involved.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CREDA Chairman Shri Bhupendra Savanni<\/strong> remarked that this success was possible only because of the <strong>dedicated efforts<\/strong> of the Swachhata Didis and sanitation workers. <em>\u201cCleanliness is a service and a commitment, which our workers are fulfilling wholeheartedly,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bilha Nagar Panchayat President Smt. Vandana Jendre<\/strong> praised the <strong>dedication and spirit<\/strong> of the Swachhata Didis, stating that their hard work has <strong>put Bilha on the map across India<\/strong>. Others present included Nagar Panchayat Vice President <strong>Shri Satish Sharma<\/strong>, CMO <strong>Shri Praveen Gehlot<\/strong>, and Janpad Panchayat President <strong>Shri Ram Kumar Kaushik<\/strong>, along with a large number of <strong>residents, sanitation workers, and commandos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Daily Waste Collection by 28 Swachhata Didis<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Bilha Nagar Panchayat, with a population of approximately <strong>15,000<\/strong>, has <strong>28 Swachhata Didis<\/strong> who go <strong>door-to-door<\/strong> collecting waste in <strong>e-rickshaws<\/strong> across the <strong>15 wards<\/strong>. The collected waste is taken to the <strong>SRLM Center<\/strong>, where it is <strong>segregated into wet and dry waste<\/strong>.
