CM Shares His Experiences in a Candid Interaction with IIM Raipur\u2019s Good Governance Fellowship Students<\/strong>
Lessons on Good Governance from Life Experiences; Inspiring Answers to Students\u2019 Inquisitive Questions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raipur, Aug 2025<\/strong> : Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that responsibilities fulfilled with honesty and dedication always yield positive results. \u201cWhen one remains committed to public service with integrity and devotion, the affection and blessings of the people naturally follow,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CM was addressing the \u2018Chief Minister\u2019s Good Governance Dialogue\u2019<\/em> program at the newly constructed auditorium on the fifth floor of Mahanadi Bhawan in the state secretariat. The event was held with students of the Chief Minister\u2019s Good Governance Fellowship program at IIM Raipur, where the CM shared the nuances of good governance and gave inspiring answers to their questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He highlighted that Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country to establish a Department of Good Governance and Convergence<\/em>. The state has implemented the e-Office<\/em> system, ensuring that all files are digitized, making government processes more transparent and enabling easy file tracking. He affirmed that the government\u2019s aim is to close all avenues for corruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTrue good governance means ensuring that the benefits of government schemes actually reach the people,\u201d the CM said. \u201cSchemes should be formulated thoughtfully, as they are funded by the hard-earned money of the people. Only when they are effectively implemented at the grassroots level can the common citizen truly benefit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the interaction, the CM answered the fellows\u2019 curious questions with openness and inspiration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Harshvardhan, a fellow from Arang, asked about the most important lesson in his journey from being a panch<\/em> (village council member) in his native village Bagiya to becoming the Chief Minister, Sai shared his personal struggles. \u201cAfter my father\u2019s untimely death, family responsibilities fell on my shoulders at a very young age. I never imagined becoming even a panch<\/em>, but whatever responsibility I was given, I carried it out with complete sincerity,\u201d he said. \u201cWhen you work with honesty and dedication, positive results follow. I never strayed from my path of duty and made public service my life\u2019s mission. The people entrusted me with the roles of panch<\/em>, sarpanch<\/em>, MLA, MP, Minister of State, and now Chief Minister.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manu Pandey, a fellow from Bilaspur, asked about Chhattisgarh\u2019s role in realizing the vision of a developed India by 2047. The CM replied, \u201cPrime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s vision for a developed India by 2047 places great importance on Chhattisgarh. Before 2014, India was the world\u2019s tenth-largest economy; today, it is fourth. We have prepared a \u2018Vision Document\u2019 for a developed Chhattisgarh. Our current GSDP is \u20b95 lakh crore, and we aim to increase it to \u20b975 lakh crore by 2047.\u201d He stressed, \u201cThis is not a dream but a concrete plan, and we will achieve it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CM said Chhattisgarh is a prosperous state with rich mineral resources like iron, tin, lithium, bauxite, gold, and diamonds. Forty-four percent of its area is covered by forests producing hundreds of varieties of minor forest produce. \u201cOur fertile soil and hardworking people are Chhattisgarh\u2019s true strength,\u201d he told the youth, adding, \u201cWith the determination and skills of young people like you, we will surely build a developed Chhattisgarh.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fellowship\u2019s Goal \u2013 Preparing Responsible Leaders for Tomorrow<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the program, Secretary of the Department of Good Governance and Convergence, Rahul Bhagat, gave a PowerPoint presentation on the fellowship scheme. He said the Chief Minister\u2019s Good Governance Fellowship aims to provide talented youth of the state with advanced education and practical experience in governance, shaping a capable and responsible administrative generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the scheme, the Government of Chhattisgarh, in collaboration with IIM Raipur, runs a postgraduate program in Public Policy and Governance. Selected fellows will also get practical training opportunities in various government departments. Fellows will contribute to key areas like data-driven policymaking, simplifying administrative processes, efficient resource utilization, strengthening e-governance, and assessing the on-ground impact of policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CM Unveils Fellowship Prospectus; Presents Anjor Vision Document to Students<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CM unveiled the prospectus for the Chief Minister\u2019s Good Governance Fellowship course and presented copies of the Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision Document<\/em> to the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department Manoj Pingua also addressed and guided the students. The event was attended by Avinash Champawat, Secretary of the General Administration Department; Rajat Bansal, Special Secretary of the Department of Good Governance and Convergence; Joint Secretary Mayank Agrawal; professors from IIM Raipur; and other dignitaries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
