{"id":66135,"date":"2025-08-16T17:01:30","date_gmt":"2025-08-16T17:01:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/?p=66135"},"modified":"2025-08-16T17:01:31","modified_gmt":"2025-08-16T17:01:31","slug":"tejashwi-rahul-gandhi-to-launch-vote-adhikar-yatra-in-bihar-against-alleged-electoral-irregularities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/?p=66135","title":{"rendered":"Tejashwi, Rahul Gandhi to Launch \u2018Vote Adhikar Yatra\u2019 in Bihar Against Alleged Electoral Irregularities"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Patna, Aug 2025 :<\/strong> Ahead of the launch of the <em>\u2018Vote Adhikar Yatra\u2019<\/em> against the Election Commission\u2019s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process and alleged instances of \u201cvote theft\u201d in Bihar, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly, <strong>Tejashwi Yadav<\/strong>, on Saturday said the campaign is intended to raise awareness among voters, particularly those whose names have been deleted from the electoral rolls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Calling the initiative a \u201chistoric yatra,\u201d Yadav expressed confidence that the people of Bihar would \u201cbless\u201d the grand alliance (Mahagathbandhan) in its mission to safeguard voter rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are starting the \u2018Vote Adhikar Yatra\u2019 from Sasaram tomorrow with all Mahagathbandhan allies. Over the coming days, we will visit several districts to ensure that people understand their rights and that no voter is excluded from the rolls,\u201d Yadav told reporters in Patna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He pointed to the Supreme Court\u2019s recent directions to the Election Commission of India (ECI) to publish the list of 65 lakh voters excluded or deleted from Bihar\u2019s draft electoral roll, along with the reasons for their removal. \u201cThis is a fight we have been pursuing, and the Supreme Court has also recognised its importance,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rahul Gandhi to Join the Campaign<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition <strong>Rahul Gandhi<\/strong> is set to join the yatra in Sasaram on Sunday, along with other senior alliance leaders. Gandhi is expected to raise awareness about voter rights, address local issues, and present the Mahagathbandhan\u2019s vision for Bihar if it comes to power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRahul Gandhi and other leaders will go among the people to speak about their right to vote. We will also highlight local concerns and share what our vision for governance will be. This will be a historic journey, and we are confident that the people of Bihar will support us,\u201d Yadav added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Youth Congress Backs the Campaign<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Indian Youth Congress national president <strong>Uday Bhanu Chib<\/strong> accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of attempting to \u201csteal votes\u201d and described the yatra as critical for protecting the Constitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis yatra is not just important for Bihar but for the entire country,\u201d Chib said. \u201cOur Constitution gives people the greatest power\u2014the right to vote. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP tried to steal this right. There can be no bigger crime than this. Rahul Gandhi exposed their actions with evidence, and we will not allow this theft to happen again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Social Media Campaigns and Allegations Against ECI<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahead of the yatra, Rahul Gandhi intensified his social media campaign, sharing a spoof video inspired by the film <em>Missing Ladies<\/em>. The video depicts a man filing a theft complaint at a police station. When asked what has been stolen, the man hesitantly replies, \u201cVote,\u201d leaving the policeman stunned.
