She highlighted the vital role of teachers in shaping young minds, imparting knowledge, and instilling values in future generations. \u201cTeachers are the real artisans who enlighten the new generation with the light of education,\u201d the Chief Minister said, emphasizing their indispensable contribution to society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The state government organized Teachers\u2019 Day celebrations with full dignity and respect. During the event, several educators from schools and <strong>industrial training institutes<\/strong> were honored with the <strong>\u2018Shiksha Ratna\u2019 awards<\/strong>. In addition, the <strong>best schools in West Bengal<\/strong> were recognized for their achievements. The program also celebrated meritorious students who secured places in this year\u2019s <strong>secondary, higher secondary, joint entrance, Alim, Fazil, high-madrasah, ICSE, ISC, CBSE, and vocational examinations<\/strong>. Mamata Banerjee reiterated that education is the power that drives societal progress and provides new direction and energy to communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her message, the Chief Minister expressed deep respect for teachers, calling them the guiding force behind every enlightened and empowered generation. She also extended her warm wishes to students, urging them to pursue knowledge with dedication and sincerity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from Teachers\u2019 Day, Mamata Banerjee also extended her greetings on the occasion of <strong>Onam<\/strong>, one of the major festivals of South India, particularly celebrated in Kerala. She wished that the festival bring <strong>happiness, prosperity, and joy<\/strong> to everyone\u2019s life. Onam commemorates the legendary King <strong>Mahabali<\/strong>, who, according to tradition, returns to visit his people during this period. The festival is associated with the harvest season and symbolizes abundance and happiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Onam celebrations last <strong>ten days<\/strong> and are marked by <strong>\u2018Pookalam\u2019 (flower decorations), traditional dances, boat races, and the grand feast known as \u2018Onam Sadya\u2019<\/strong>. People wear new clothes and enjoy a variety of traditional dishes as part of the festivities.
