Chandrababu Naidu<\/strong> on Saturday announced the establishment of an <strong>Auto Driver Welfare Board<\/strong> to secure the livelihoods and future of auto and maxi cab drivers. He also revealed plans to develop a <strong>dedicated ride-booking app<\/strong>\u2014similar to Uber and Rapido\u2014that will allow drivers to receive bookings directly from passengers, cutting out intermediaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe government will soon launch a ride-booking app exclusively for auto drivers. It will connect passengers directly to drivers, eliminating the need to wait at auto stands,\u201d Naidu said. \u201cA control room will also be established, and all revenue generated through the app will be spent on the welfare of drivers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"521\" src=\"https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-68-1024x521.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-76783\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-68-1024x521.png 1024w, https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-68-300x153.png 300w, https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-68-768x391.png 768w, https:\/\/mavericknews30.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-68.png 1040w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Minister made these announcements while launching the <strong>\u2018Auto Driver Sevalo\u2019<\/strong> scheme at the <strong>Makineni Basavapunnaiah Stadium<\/strong> in Ajit Singh Nagar, Vijayawada. He was joined by <strong>Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan<\/strong>, <strong>Human Resource Development Minister Nara Lokesh<\/strong>, and <strong>Andhra Pradesh BJP chief P.V.N. Madhav<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To mark the occasion, Naidu, Kalyan, Lokesh, and Madhav traveled <strong>14 kilometers from Undavalli to the stadium by auto-rickshaw<\/strong>, symbolically highlighting their commitment to the welfare of drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u20b9436 Crore Deposited Directly into Beneficiaries\u2019 Accounts<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the newly launched scheme, the government has <strong>transferred \u20b9436 crore directly into the bank accounts of 2.9 lakh (290,669) beneficiaries<\/strong>. Naidu said the initiative demonstrates the government\u2019s dedication to the welfare of the working class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe welfare of auto drivers is our top priority. Through the Auto Driver Sevalo program, we are ensuring financial security and dignity for them. Every eligible driver has received the benefit directly into their bank account,\u201d the Chief Minister said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He further emphasized that the coalition government has already improved the state\u2019s road network, making <strong>23,000 kilometers of roads pothole-free<\/strong>, ensuring safer conditions for drivers and commuters alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Simplifying Fines and Promoting Electric Autos<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Naidu also promised to <strong>revoke unnecessary government orders related to heavy fines<\/strong> and to simplify the <strong>challan (penalty) system<\/strong>. The government, he said, plans to support drivers in <strong>converting their vehicles to electric autos<\/strong>, promoting sustainability while reducing fuel costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u201cOur Government Is for the Poor\u201d: Naidu<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlighting his government\u2019s inclusive approach, Naidu described the coalition as one truly committed to the welfare of the poor. \u201cIn the past 15 months, we have provided good governance and improved the lives of the underprivileged,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the government has successfully fulfilled its <strong>\u2018Super 6\u2019 promises<\/strong>, which include initiatives like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Stree Shakti Yojana<\/strong>, providing <strong>free bus travel for women<\/strong> across the state.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Universal Health Policy<\/strong>, offering <strong>free health insurance of up to \u20b925 lakh per family<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThese programs reflect our commitment to social equity and empowerment,\u201d he said, noting that such policies have brought relief and dignity to thousands of families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Criticism of Previous Government<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Naidu took a sharp dig at the previous <strong>YSRCP government<\/strong>, accusing it of \u201ccollapsing governance and ruining welfare systems.\u201d He recalled how initiatives like <strong>Anna Canteens<\/strong>, which served meals to the poor, had been shut down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe YSRCP pushed the state into fear and financial ruin, looted public funds meant for the poor, and proved unfit for governance,\u201d he said. \u201cWe will never allow such destructive forces to return. We don\u2019t want this \u2018Vaikunthapali\u2019 style of administration.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Call for Stable Governance<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Drawing parallels with other successful governments, Naidu cited <strong>Gujarat\u2019s 25 years of stable rule<\/strong> and the <strong>NDA\u2019s 15 years at the Centre<\/strong> as examples of consistency and progress. \u201cReal development is possible only under a double-engine government\u2014one that works in harmony at both the Centre and the state,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recalling the <strong>2024 elections<\/strong>, Naidu termed them \u201chistoric,\u201d stating, \u201cI have never seen such an election in my life. We achieved a 94% strike rate, and with continued welfare initiatives, this rate will rise even higher.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Vision for Empowerment<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With the launch of the Auto Driver Welfare Board and the upcoming digital platform, Naidu aims to <strong>empower auto drivers through technology, transparency, and welfare-based governance<\/strong>. The initiative not only secures livelihoods but also reflects the government\u2019s broader goal of <strong>inclusive development<\/strong>, where every section of society\u2014especially the working class\u2014benefits from progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThe future of our state lies in the hands of hardworking citizens.
