Jaipur, Nov 2025 :<\/em> Rajasthan Police has achieved a major milestone in its mission to create a drug-free society.<\/em> Director General of Police (DGP) Shri Rajeev Kumar Sharma<\/strong> inaugurated the newly built Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF)<\/strong> office at Mahal Road, 7 No. Chauraha, Jagatpura, Jaipur on Wednesday. The new facility is expected to further strengthen the state police\u2019s zero-tolerance policy<\/em> toward drug trafficking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formal Inauguration Ceremony<\/strong>
DGP Sharma formally inaugurated the office by performing a traditional puja and cutting the ribbon. Inspector General (IG) of ANTF Shri Vikas Kumar<\/strong> gave the DGP a detailed tour of the facility and presented an overview of key ANTF operations and recent achievements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, officers in charge of 10 ANTF field units\u2014including Sriganganagar, Jodhpur, Barmer, and Jalore\u2014joined virtually to introduce themselves and share updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several senior police officials were present at the ceremony, including DG Traffic Shri Anil Paliwal<\/strong>, ADGs Shri Dinesh M.N., Hawa Singh Ghumaria, Bhupendra Sahu, V.K. Singh, Vishal Bansal, Bipin Pandey, Prashakha Mathur, and Lata Manoj Kumar<\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DGP Sharma: Tighter Vigil on Inter-State Borders<\/strong>
Speaking to the media, DGP Rajeev Sharma outlined the mission and expansion plans of the ANTF. He said 18 ANTF outposts<\/strong> are to be established across the state, with 10 already operational<\/strong>. The force will be fully equipped with advanced resources to meet its objectives effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasized that a coordinated, large-scale crackdown<\/strong> on narcotics is underway through joint efforts involving both central and state agencies<\/strong>. To combat cross-border drug smuggling, anti-drone systems<\/strong> have been deployed along the international border<\/strong> to intercept aerial drug drops. \u201cThe BSF is already active in this effort, and Rajasthan Police is equally committed to curbing the supply chain of narcotics,\u201d he stated firmly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local Police Support and Strict Legal Action<\/strong>
Sharma added that while local police units will assist in operations, the ANTF\u2014being a dedicated unit<\/strong>\u2014will channel all its time and energy exclusively toward anti-narcotics enforcement. He warned that offenders using minors in drug trafficking<\/strong> will face severe punishment under new legal provisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its formation, the ANTF has been conducting joint operations with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB)<\/strong>, and Sharma assured that these collaborative efforts will continue with even greater intensity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
