The event was held at the <strong>LESDE Auditorium, MINECO<\/strong>, following the successful conduct of the competition from <strong>8 to 12 November 2025<\/strong>. On the occasion, prizes were distributed to the outstanding winners of the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Addressing the gathering, the chief guest, <strong>LESDE Minister Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar<\/strong>, said it was gratifying to see the <strong>State-level Skill Competition 2025<\/strong> conclude successfully, providing a meaningful and productive platform for youths to showcase their skills. He noted that the participation of <strong>around 1,048 competitors<\/strong> reflected the growing interest and commitment of young people towards acquiring <strong>market-relevant employable skills<\/strong>. Emphasising the importance of adapting skills to the <strong>increasingly digitised modern world<\/strong>, he said those who are able to integrate digital competencies with their trades would progress faster in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlighting that <strong>youth development directly contributes to the progress of the state and the nation<\/strong>, the Minister assured that the government would continue to make every possible effort to promote youth empowerment. He also informed that the <strong>Ministry of External Affairs<\/strong> has recognised the <strong>Mizoram Council for Vocational Training (MCVT)<\/strong> under the LESDE Department as a facilitating body for enabling youths to seek employment opportunities abroad. He urged participants to continuously upgrade and refine their skills to remain competitive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The participants in the State-level Skill Competition were those who had been selected as top performers from the <strong>District-level Skill Competitions held from 18 to 20 November 2025<\/strong>. During today\u2019s programme, prizes were awarded to the best performers in five skill categories\u2014<strong>bakery, beauty therapy, cabinet-making, carpentry and car painting<\/strong>. The winners at the state level will go on to represent Mizoram at the <strong>regional-level competition to be held in Guwahati<\/strong>, with long-term plans to scale the competition to <strong>national and international levels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme was chaired by <strong>Dr. Lalhriatzuali Ralte, Secretary, LESDE Department<\/strong>, who welcomed the gathering. <strong>Pu John Tanpuia, Director, LESDE<\/strong>, presented a detailed report on the competition. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony and felicitation of winners from the preliminary rounds.
