Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that a nation\u2019s strong economic policy and ideological foresight determine the balanced pace of development, stability and the direction of its future. He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the past decade has been a golden era for India\u2019s economy, during which the country overcame several international economic challenges and scaled new heights of growth. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed the \u2018World Hindu Economic Forum Conference\u20132025\u2019 held in Mumbai on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the industrial landscape of Madhya Pradesh is undergoing rapid transformation, and the state government is fully committed to supporting investors in expanding their investments and enhancing the ease of doing business. He stated that the government stands firmly with every investor willing to invest in Madhya Pradesh and fully understands their requirements, assuring that all necessary support will be extended in accordance with those needs. He added that together, everyone will realise the resolve of \u2018Make in India\u2019 and \u2018Viksit Bharat\u2019 and make India a developed nation by 2047.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that on December 25, in Gwalior, on the occasion of the conclusion of the birth centenary year of the former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Union Home \"\"Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate and perform Bhoomi Poojan for development works worth \u20b92.5 lakh crore in the state. Inviting all to participate in the \u2018Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh Growth Summit\u2019 in Gwalior. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that the event will mark the successful culmination of the \u2018Year of Industry and Employment\u2019. He said that investors in Madhya Pradesh will receive not only better policies, opportunities, incentives, ecosystem, market linkages and growth rates, but also full support from the government. He stated  that the state has adequate land and water for industries, a strong youth force and skilled human resources, and he urged investors to come forward without hesitation to invest in Madhya Pradesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav elaborated on India\u2019s economic progress, cultural values, and its emerging role as a global leader. He stated that the pace of India\u2019s current economic advancement is unprecedented and attributed this rapid progress to robust policy frameworks, far-reaching structural reforms, the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative and growing confidence among global investors. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that India will soon become the world\u2019s third-largest economy. He said that a large number of business tycoons, industrialists, policymakers, economists, academicians, thinkers on the global economy and members of the World Hindu Economic Forum from India and abroad participated in the conference. The World Hindu Economic Forum Conference\u20132025, he noted, is providing a common platform to India\u2019s economic vision, cultural heritage and global perspective, which will give new direction and energy to the country\u2019s future development journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Madhya Pradesh: A New Hub of Investment and Growth<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted the exceptional achievements of Madhya Pradesh and stated that the state is rapidly emerging as a preferred destination in the sectors of investment, industry, agriculture, energy, and tourism. He stated that there has never been any significant industrial unrest in Madhya Pradesh, and that due to 18 investor-friendly industrial policies, transparent governance and strong infrastructure, the state has become an attractive and reliable destination for investors and young entrepreneurs. He said the state is providing all necessary incentives, land at minimum rates, support and guidance to investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the discussion on a theme like \u2018Innovation, Prosperity and Self-Reliance: India\u2019s Path to Global Leadership\u2019 is taking place at a time when India is not just an emerging economy but is establishing itself as a power that guides the world. He said, \u201cIn Indian tradition, Arth (economy) has never been limited merely to profit but has always been linked to public welfare, balance and long-term prosperity. India is now ready to move from \u2018Make in India\u2019 to \u2018Make for the World\u2019, a shift made possible by the policy of perform, reform, transform and innovation. The Chief Minister stated that Madhya Pradesh is among the fastest-developing states and has not confined ease of doing business to policy documents alone, but has effectively translated it on the ground into the speed, scale, and skill of doing business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that 18 new industrial policies have been launched, which are proving to be game changers for the state\u2019s growth. He mentioned that in Dhar district, the foundation stone has been laid for the country\u2019s first and largest PM Mega Textile Park, which will realise the vision of \u201cfarm-to-fibre-to-factory-to-fashion-to-foreign.\u201d He informed that more than 20.43 lakh MSME units are operating in the state and that over the past three years, more than 4.26 lakh new manufacturing units have been established, bringing in investments of over \u20b966,000 crore and creating more than one crore employment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to implement innovative policies like the Global Capability Centre (GCC) Policy and the APGC\u2013XR Hub Policy and that a space-tech policy will also be introduced soon. To support start-ups with financial assistance and infrastructure, the \u2018MP Start-up Policy and Implementation Scheme\u2019 has been put in place to promote entrepreneurship and strengthen the start-up ecosystem in Madhya Pradesh. He pointed out that tourists are highly attracted to the Madhya Pradesh tourism experience and that the state created a record in tourism in 2024, with 13.41 crore tourists visiting Madhya Pradesh. To further improve connectivity, he added, the state has introduced new innovations such as PM Shri Tourism Air Services and heli-tourism services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is progressing with the strength of a double-engine government and that, along with agriculture, special emphasis is being laid on industrial development. The government has decided to promote logistics, multi-modal connectivity and supply chains, and the state is deriving great advantage from its central location in India. He said, under the \u2018Jan Vishwas Act\u2019, 118 old rules have been simplified or abolished as needed and the government is working to ensure that trade and business can expand with ease. With transparency in both policy and intent, the state government is moving ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that recently, in Umaria village of Raisen district, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh performed the bhoomi-pujan for a Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) unit to be built at a cost of \u20b91,800 crore, where indigenous rail and metro coaches will be manufactured. Earlier this year, a Global Investors Summit (GIS) was held in Bhopal, as a result of which the state has attracted bumper investment, and works worth about \u20b96 lakh crore have already commenced. After Indore\u2013Ujjain Metropolitan City and Bhopal\u2013Raisen Metropolitan City, Gwalior and Jabalpur will also be developed as metropolitan cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Infrastructure, Technology and New Sectors<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal will inaugurate metro services in Bhopal on 20 December, after which both the state capital, Bhopal and the economic capital Indore will have metro connectivity. At present, eight airports are operational in Madhya Pradesh. Approximately 2,500 IT companies, including TCS and Infosys, are functioning in the state, and engineering colleges are being linked with IT parks to enhance employment opportunities. The state is also developing a Science City, a Deepfake Research Centre and an AI City. He stated that Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a premier tourist destination and a film-friendly state, with film shooting activities gaining significant momentum across the state. Films like \u2018Homebound\u2019, \u2018Lion\u2019, \u2018Stree\u2019, and \u2018Padman\u2019 have highlighted the potential of the film industry in Madhya Pradesh. More than 13.5 crore tourists visited the state in 2024, including about 7 crore pilgrims who came to Ujjain for religious tourism, making Ujjain a leading city in the country in terms of the number of religious tourists. Madhya Pradesh has also built a distinct identity in the field of cleanliness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh is India\u2019s food basket and that its substantial production of wheat, soybean, oilseeds, maize, and millets is positioning the state as a hub of the global food industry. He further noted that pharmaceuticals account for nearly 20 per cent of the state\u2019s total exports, underscoring the strength and growth of this sector. He informed that a petrochemical industry is being set up at Bina at a cost of \u20b949,000 crore and that the state has vast coal reserves. He said that textiles and handlooms are hallmarks of Madhya Pradesh, with Maheshwari and Chanderi sarees, Bag print, Batik print and Gwalior carpets renowned for their quality. The state leads the country in organic cotton production, which supports numerous handloom units and local employment and self-employment opportunities. He noted that Madhya Pradesh has a strong presence in the textile sector and has significant potential in the automobile industry as well, with Pithampur often referred to as the \u2018Detroit of India\u2019. An automotive test track is operational near Indore, where leading companies such as Force Motors and Bridgestone are already functioning. The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh\u2019s EV sector is among the fastest-growing in the country and that the state is representing India in clean energy. Madhya Pradesh is a power-surplus state, and electricity from the Rewa Solar Park is powering the Delhi Metro. The country\u2019s first floating solar energy park has been established at Omkareshwar, and in Neemuch, Greenko has set up a pump storage hydropower plant. He stated that major companies from various sectors are rapidly setting up industries and starting production in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strong Policy Support and Call for Partnership<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government has devoted maximum time and attention to industrial establishment and development. Through regional industry conclaves at district and division levels, business and industrial potential has been explored on the ground. New policies are in place for industrial growth, and the government is prepared to support investors even beyond the provisions of policy to ensure that industries can grow easily. He reiterated that the Madhya Pradesh government stands shoulder to shoulder with investors at every step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
