At 3 pm On Sunday, I will surrender”: Arvind Kejriwal’s

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made a significant and emotional announcement today during a press conference. He declared his intention to surrender at 3 pm on Sunday, following the end of his interim bail granted by the Supreme Court in connection with a controversial Delhi liquor policy case.

Kejriwal’s statement was charged with a sense of sacrifice and commitment. “Tomorrow, I will leave my house around 3 pm to surrender. We are fighting against tyranny, and if I have to sacrifice my life for the country, do not mourn,” he said. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader emphasized that his decision was part of his larger struggle against oppression and corruption.

Kejriwal revealed the severe toll his imprisonment had taken on his health. During his 50-day imprisonment, he lost a significant amount of weight and faced ongoing health issues, including being denied necessary medication for diabetes. “I was in jail for 50 days, and in those 50 days, I lost 6 kilos… Even after being released, I have not regained my weight,” he shared, indicating that his doctors are now deeply concerned about his condition.

Despite these personal health challenges, Kejriwal reassured the people of Delhi that their welfare remains his top priority. He promised that essential services and initiatives such as free electricity, Mohalla clinics, hospitals, free medicines, and women’s free bus travel would continue without interruption. “Even though I won’t be among you, do not worry. All your work will continue,” he assured. “I may not be with you physically, but your work will not stop.”

In a poignant moment, Kejriwal appealed to the public to pray for his elderly parents’ well-being. “My parents are very old… If you pray for my mother daily, she will surely remain healthy,” he said, highlighting the personal sacrifices and emotional strains his family is enduring.
