      Jia Chandra, an 11-year-old student of Army Public School, Bolaram, Secunderabad (Telangana), won hearts with her confident and thoughtful speech during the 77th Republic Day flag hoisting ceremony at her society. Speaking with remarkable clarity and maturity beyond her age, Jia beautifully blended patriotism with everyday responsibility, reminding everyone that love for the nation begins with being a good citizen. Her words reflected not just knowledge of India’s values, but a deep understanding of unity, discipline, and social responsibility. Such young minds, guided by strong values and fearless expression, are the true strength of the nation. India needs more young leaders like Jia—curious, compassionate, and courageous—who will carry the spirit of the Constitution forward and shape a brighter future for the country. Jia Speech below; Namaste! Respected uncles and aunties of Omishree Signet Society, my dear friends, and all the elders and children present here—my respectful greetings to everyone and heartfelt wishes on the occasion of Republic Day! Today, all of us have gathered here to celebrate the 77th Republic Day of our country. Generally, 26th January is considered a very important day in history books, because on this day in 1950, our Constitution came into force. But to be honest… for us children, today is special for one more reason. Today, we don’t get scolded by our parents for waking up at 6 in the morning! Instead, mom lovingly wakes us up and says— “Wake up fast, dear. We have the flag hoisting in the society, and yes, later there will be samosas and laddoos too!” Jokes apart, today is truly a day of pride. When I see all of us standing together under the Tricolour in the garden of Omishree Signet, I truly understand the meaning of “Unity in Diversity.” Our society itself is like a mini India! People from different states, different languages—but when we greet each other with a “Good Morning” in the lift, or celebrate Diwali, Holi, Christmas, Lohri together, we are simply Signet residents. Friends, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and our freedom fighters gave us a Constitution that ensured equality for all. At the age of 12, sometimes I feel that freedom means no homework or playing video games all day. But as we grow up, we begin to understand that true freedom and democracy mean understanding our responsibilities. Patriotism does not only mean fighting at the borders. If we don’t throw garbage in the society park, don’t press lift buttons unnecessarily, avoid wasting water, and help our neighbours—this too is a form of patriotism. And yes… if while playing we don’t break someone’s window glass—believe me, that will be the biggest act of patriotism for our society! In the end, I would like to say that we children are the future of this nation. Today we are hoisting the Tricolour in Omishree Signet; tomorrow, through our hard work and honesty, we must make it fly across the world. Let us all take a pledge today to become better citizens and make our society and our country even more beautiful. Before I conclude, I would like to recite these lines: “Do not live in the name of religion, Do not die in the name of religion, Humanity is the true religion of our nation— Live for the nation.” Once again, heartfelt wishes to everyone on Republic Day!       Hyderabad, Aug 2025 : Ganesh Chaturthi, one of India’s most cherished festivals, is a vibrant occasion dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the revered god of wisdom, prosperity, and new beginnings. Marked by devotion, art, and cultural activities, the festival brings together families and communities to honor the beloved deity in a lively and joyous spirit. This year, the residents of Om Sree Signet, a bustling society in Yapral, Secunderabad, organized a heartwarming celebration that perfectly captured the essence of tradition blended with contemporary exuberance. The festival, which usually falls in August or September according to the Hindu lunar calendar, commemorates the birth of Lord Ganesha. It is celebrated with elaborate rituals, prayers, and artistic performances. At Om Sree Signet, the festival was enlivened by a special dance performance by three young and energetic children—Jia Chandra, Vaikha, and Mivaan. With infectious enthusiasm, the children performed the hit song “Veedu Moratodu Ani Vallu, Veellu, Ennenni Anna, Pasi, Pillavadu Naa Vadu” from the blockbuster film Pushpa 2 in front of a beautifully decorated idol of Lord Ganesha. The choreography, carefully crafted with the help of their mother, was executed with precision, coordination, and sheer exuberance, leaving the audience captivated. Watching the children perform was a delight for everyone present. Their innocence, unrestrained joy, and pure energy radiated across the hall, creating an atmosphere filled with laughter, clapping, and applause. Each step of the dance was performed with careful attention, yet with the natural spontaneity that only children can bring. The meticulous preparation was evident, but the performance never lost its effortless charm. When asked about their practice, Jia Chandra shared with a smile, “We have been practicing for a month so that we could perform perfectly on the dance floor.” Her dedication and that of her young companions were clearly visible, turning their performance into a heartfelt offering to Lord Ganesha. As the performance concluded and the applause echoed through the society hall, it was clear that the festival had successfully fulfilled its purpose—spreading happiness, devotion, and cultural pride. The dedication of Jia, Vaikha, and Mivaan, combined with the support of their family and the vibrant spirit of the society, turned this Ganesh Chaturthi celebration into a memory that will linger in everyone’s hearts.       Joy, Devotion, and Dance Light Up Ganesh Chaturthi at Om Sree Signet, Yapral - Hyderabad.
      This morning, Om Sree Signet, located at Yapral, Secunderabad, held its Independence Day flag-hoisting ceremony. Most of the society members are retired defence personnel, dressed in their uniforms with medals shining proudly on their chests. The others wore the tricolor, creating a strong feeling of national pride and unity. During the event, I noticed an 11-year-old girl who delivered a truly wonderful speech. Her words were so inspiring that I felt compelled to capture the moment on my camera and share it with a wider audience. I was truly delighted to see such a young, talented, and confident leader in our country. It is inspiring to witness a child of just 11 years expressing her thoughts so clearly and passionately, showing a maturity beyond her years. You might be thinking, “What does an 11-year-old girl know about freedom?” Let me share a small story. One day, I was reading my school book, and one line almost made me cry: “They went to jail so that we could go to school.” I thought, wow! Today we can play without fear, watch movies, and go out freely—only because people like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, and Kali Lakshmi Bhai gave their lives for freedom. Why did they do this? They gave us freedom—the freedom to think, to speak, and to dream. Today, Independence Day is not just about flying kites or eating sweets. It is a reminder that we should strive to make India a better country, where everyone is safe, equal, and happy. I am so proud and happy to be here at CIGNET, surrounded by so many people who have contributed to keeping our independence and freedom safe. Sirs, ma’ams, uncles, and aunties, thank you from the bottom of my heart. The greatest thanks go not just to the men and women in uniform, but to all citizens.
