The Civil Services aspirants should crack the exams, like Arjuna shot an arrow at the target of an eye of a fish during Draoupati’s swayamvar in Mahabharat, without worrying about family and financial challenges they encountered during preparation, Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy said.

The Chief Minister distributed Rs 1 lakh cheques to 135 civil service aspirants, who cleared the prelims and are ready for mains exams, under Rajiv Civils Abhayahsatam program at the Secretariat on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that unemployment was the main issue during the Telangana movement and the Telangana state has been achieved only with the sacrifices and struggles of the unemployed and students. 30,000 jobs are filled within 90 days of coming to power by the people’s government in the state. The government proved its sincerity in providing jobs by issuing notifications to fill another 35,000 jobs along with Group one, Group -2, Group -3 and DSC notifications.

CM Revanth Reddy criticized the previous government for neglecting the education sector and alleged that the hostel facilities were provided in rented buildings and hundreds of students were accommodated with one or two bathrooms. The Congress government is constructing BC, SC, ST and minority hostels in a single compound on a sprawling 20 to 25 acres in the name of Integrated Residential Schools in 100 Assembly Constituencies. Rs 5000 crore were already allocated for this in the budget outlay, the Chief Minister said that these residential education institutions would be developed at high standards and the alumni should proudly say there are students of the institutions like the pass outs from Cambridge, Oxford and Osmania universities are proud of themselves.

The Chief Minister expressed serious concern about the present education system which is limited to only issuing certificates. Thousands of students have completed engineering education but they do not have the skills required by the companies. On the other hand, the companies are facing difficulties in recruiting skilled people. The CM said Young India Skill University has been established to solve the shortage of skilled manpower by appointing noted industrialist Anand Mahindra as its Chairman and Srinivasa Raju as its Vice-Chairmen. The Chief Minister said that the chairman, vice-chairman and board members will finalize the syllabus and look after training and management to produce skilled manpower from the university. The state government will play the role of facilitator. The Skill University will offer all certificate and diploma courses. This year, the university will provide training to 2,000 people without wasting the academic year and from next year the university will offer training to 20,000 people.

Sports University in Telangana will set a benchmark in the country:

CM Revanth Reddy was unhappy for India with a population of 140 crore not winning a good number of medals in the Olympics while small countries clinched dozens of medals. During his recent visit to South Korea, he visited a Sport’s university which produced 19 Olympic medal winners including one athlete who won 3 gold medals simultaneously, the CM said the Young India Sports University will be developed to win a large number of medals in the next Olympics. The CM wanted Telangana to be a leader in the country by winning the highest number of medals from this university.

Will support like big brother:

The Chief Minister criticized that some people are hatching conspiracies even though the government accorded top priority to address the students problems and the education sector. The CM took a broadside at the forces for instigating the students to stage dharna demanding the postponement of the exams. The CM worried the students would be at the receiving end if the exams were postponed. The Chief Minister alleged that some forces provoked the students and claimed their lives for political gains and came to power. The CM expressed his anger that some leaders did not care about employment for ten years. After losing power, they started provoking the students again. The CM suggested the leaders sit on fast unto death instead of instigating the students.

The CM said that the appointment of Vice Chancellors, Professors, Assistant and Associate professors will be taken up in all the universities within 10 to 15 days. CM Revanth Reddy assured that his government is ready to solve the problems of students and the unemployed and he will stand by them. People should not fall prey to the tricks played by some forces and sit in dharna, the CM said, suggesting that people should think about what the government is saying and what it is doing. The Chief Minister assured that every problem that was brought to his attention would be solved with a positive attitude.

Enhance Telangana Prestige:

CM Revanth Reddy said that the majority of SIs ( Sub Inspectors ) in the police department are being selected from Nalgonda and the police job aspirants should take inspiration from them. The CM wished that all those who cracked the Civils prelims will also clear mains and interview and get selected for civil services.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy observed that Telangana is ahead in development but lagging behind Bihar and Rajasthan in the recruitment of civil services. The CM announced that the aspirants who cleared the civil services mains exam and were eligible for an interview will also get another Rs 1 lakh financial assistance. State government will extend support to give self-confidence to those preparing for civil services.

The Chief Minister also assured that the state government, ministers and himself would address the problems, if any, faced by the civil service aspirants, who qualified in the prelims, mains and interview, in the selection process.

The Chief Minister wished that the prestige of the state would be raised by getting selected a large number of civil servants from Telangana. The Candidates should remember that their choices are not only a matter of pride for family, town, and district but also for Telangana. The Chief Minister said that this program is organized in the Secretariat to send a strong message that all of you are our children. When he was in opposition, he and Sitakka were not allowed inside the Secretariat, the Chief Minister the Secretariat is not a restricted fort (Gadi).
