CM Dr. Yadav Announces Farmer-Centric Digital Crop Survey Project for Kharif 2024

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the statewide implementation of the Digital Crop Survey Project starting from Kharif-2024, aiming to benefit farmers. This initiative will revolutionize the way farmers interact with their land, enabling them to access their Girdawari through cutting-edge technology. Moreover, it ensures prompt insurance payouts in case of crop loss and facilitates obtaining the Kisan Credit Card swiftly. Leveraging satellite imagery, the project provides valuable insights into crop information, streamlining procurement processes. Dr. Yadav discussed these pivotal aspects of the Digital Crop Survey Project during a meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday evening.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav had a detailed discussion regarding the project with Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura and Principal Secretary Revenue Shri Nikunj Srivastava. Praising the project, he gave instructions to pace-up the process of its implementation.

Digital Crop Survey Project: At a Glance

The Digital Crop Survey Project will engage local youth in villages, employing innovative technology such as geo-fencing. This streamlined approach will simplify the process of capturing crop photographs in the field. Each photo taken by the surveyor will be geo-tagged, ensuring the mandatory field visits and providing photographic evidence of the crop. This system empowers farmers to review their land records and raise objections if necessary. By integrating new technology, the project aims to foster community involvement, ensuring comprehensive village participation. Additionally, satellite imagery will offer insights into potential crops, enabling a comparative analysis. Any discrepancies identified will prompt investigative action by government officials. Through this precise crop information, the project seeks to enhance crop predictions and farming outcomes significantly.

With the implementation of the project, the farmers of the state will also get help in their procurement work and they will soon get access to KCC. Farmers will also be able to get the insurance amount immediately in case of crop loss.
