CM Yogi Adityanath visits Sainik School, takes stock of inauguration ceremony preparations

Gorakhpur : Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is set to visit Gorakhpur on Saturday, September 7, on the invitation of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, to inaugurate the region’s first Sainik School.

Ahead of the visit, CM Yogi arrived in Gorakhpur on Thursday, meeting with party officials to ensure the event is held on a grand note.

He also inspected the preparations at the school for the upcoming inauguration ceremony.

Upon arriving in Gorakhpur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath convened a joint meeting of the BJP’s metropolitan and district unit officials at the Annexe Building. During the meeting, he discussed the inauguration ceremony of the Sainik School by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, emphasizing that the event should be extraordinary.

He urged everyone to commit wholeheartedly to ensuring the ceremony is both grand and dignified, noting that this is the first Sainik School in Eastern UP.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the importance of the BJP’s nationwide membership drive, urging efforts to increase membership.

He pointed out that people are eager to join the party due to India’s enhanced global standing under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

He stressed the goal of making the BJP the most active party among the 18 crore members, asserting that for a BJP workercountry comes before the party.

The meeting was addressed by MLC and party state vice-president Dr Dharmendra Singh and was conducted by Metropolitan President Rajesh Gupta, with District President Yudhishthir Singh presiding.

Mayor Dr Manglesh Srivastava, MLA Fateh Bahadur Singh, Vipin Singh, Pradeep Shukla, Mahendrapal Singh, Dr Vimlesh Paswan, Rajesh Shripathi, Regional Vice President Vishwajitashu Singh Ashu, Dr Satyendra Sinha, Pushpadant Jain, heads of various business organizations, social organizations, party officials and councillors were present in the meeting.

Late in the evening, CM Yogi Adityanath visited the Sainik School to review the preparations for the inauguration. During the inspection, he assessed all arrangements related to security and other aspects, providing necessary directives to the officials. He inspected the administrative building, Eklavya Shooting Range, the swimming area, the Captain Vikram Batra Multipurpose Hall, the auditorium, and the assembly area.

The Chief Minister emphasized completing all preparations on time and instructed that the school campus be made green through plantation activities.

During his visit to the swimming area and the Captain Vikram Batra Multipurpose Hall, he interacted with students to discuss their studies and facilities.

Present at the inspection were Mayor Dr Maglesh Srivastava, MLC Dr Dharmendra Singh, the Principal of the Sainik School, and other senior officials.
