CM Yogi to unveil statue of Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das, key figure in Ram Mandir movement

Ayodhya : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will unveil a statue of Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji, who was instrumental in the Ram Mandir movement in Ayodhya, at Digambar Akhara on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Yogi, visiting Ayodhya for the first time after the Lok Sabha elections for a two-day trip, will also visit the Samadhi Sthal of Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji Maharaj in Ayodhya on the second day of his visit, where he will pay floral tribute.

Following this, he will take part in the unveiling of the statue of Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji Maharaj at Digambar Akhara and the Bhandara program.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has arrived in Ayodhya on the occasion of the completion of the fourth year of the ‘Pran Pratishtha Bhoomi Pujan’ program for Lord Ram, which was marked on August 5, just a day earlier.

Additionally, it is important to mention that Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das played a crucial role in advancing the Ram Mandir movement, alongside Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s guru, Mahant Avedyanath.

CM Yogi Adityanath himself was pivotal in propelling the movement forward and, through the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram in the Ram temple, fulfilled the final wish of his guru Avedyanath.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has a profound connection with Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji. Serving as the president of the Ram Mandir Nyas, Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji passed away on August 1, 2003. He was a key figure in the Ram Mandir movement, tirelessly advocating for the temple from 1949 to 1990. Both Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji and CM Yogi Adityanath share a deep bond with the Ram Mandir movement, with the former being its principal architect.

Yogi Adityanath’s guru, Mahant Avedyanath, and Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji were close friends. Each year, Yogi Adityanath honors Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji by visiting Digambar Akhara in Ayodhya on his death anniversary.

As the Mahant of the Gorakhnath Math, where the early strategy for the Ram Mandir movement was developed, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath continued the legacy of involvement in the movement. Three generations of Gorakhnath Math have been integral to the temple movement, with notable contributions from Yogi’s guru Brahmalin Mahant Avedyanath and Avedyanath’s guru, Brahmalin Digvijay Nath.

When discussing the 500-year-long struggle for the Ram Mandir, the significant role of Gorakhshpeeth in Gorakhpur over the past century is often highlighted. Avedyanath, the Mahant of Gorakhnath Peeth and Yogi Adityanath’s guru, was a prominent leader in the temple movement, serving as the president of the ‘Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Yagna Samiti.’ He maintained a strong relationship with Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji of Digambar Akhara.

Following Mahant Avedyanath’s passing, Yogi Adityanath continued to advance the movement, emphasizing that “Ram Mandir is not an election issue; it is a mission of life for me.”

As Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath has been instrumental in bringing about significant changes in Ayodhya. The construction of the grand Ram Mandir and the installation of the deity’s idol at Ram Janmabhoomi was the fulfillment of his guru Avedyanath’s final wish.
