CM Yogi urges party workers to deploy 200 members at every booth

Lucknow : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party and its chief Akhilesh Yadav, on Tuesday, said that the incidents of Ayodhya, Gomtinagar and Kannauj define the party’s ‘Nawab Brand’.

Speaking at the BJP Membership Campaign-2024 workshop at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, he said: “Doctors and half the population are agitated over the anarchy in Kolkata, but the SP chief is defending the rapists and the West Bengal government. The shameless statement of the SP chief is the real face of his party.”

The Chief Minister cautioned party workers against the conspiracy being hatched in Uttar Pradesh by the opposition parties in the name of secularism, against the spirit of India and the majority society.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath motivated the workers, urging them not to retreat but to expose the misdeeds of the opposition. He criticized the Congress and the Samajwadi Party, and called on the workers to elevate this campaign to new heights of success.

CM Yogi Adityanath said, “Visit every household and engage with each family member. Ask them to question the opposition leaders in the by-elections about the whereabouts of the Rs 1 lakh bonds. Uncover the lies of Congress and SP, from social media to the general public.”

The CM remarked that instances of political instability were observed in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, and similar undercurrents were seen in Indian politics six months before the Lok Sabha elections, with rumors being spread on social media. He suggested that these were conspiracies aimed at stopping the BJP and its ideology.

“If the country lacked capable leadership, these efforts might have succeeded in creating instability. Therefore, the Bharatiya Janata Party is essential for maintaining political stability in the country”, he remarked.

CM Yogi stated that in 2014, under the leadership of PM Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party became the largest political party not only in India but also in the world. He noted that people are curious to consider that if the BJP had not risen to this position through the dedication of its hardworking workers and capable leadership, the international and national conspiracies seen in 2024 might have succeeded, plunging India into a prolonged period of instability.

CM Yogi Adityanath stated that the BJP is the only party committed to the politics of values and ideals. Even those with opposing ideologies acknowledge the BJP’s cadre, discipline, organizational methods, and programs. “The BJP operates with a cadre-based party structure, and whenever the country faces challenges, this cadre is ready to act. For BJP workers, the nation takes precedence over the party, and they are always prepared to serve in times of crisis”, he remarked.

The CM said that in response to PM Modi’s call during the COVID-19 crisis, BJP workers, guided by the principle of ‘service is organization,’ stood by the victims. Whether in the face of disaster, tragedy, floods, or earthquakes, the party’s organizational structure is consistently seen serving with dedication.

CM Yogi Adityanath stated that there is widespread interest in joining the BJP. He urged that each person use only one mobile phone to register new members, with a target of adding 200 members at each booth. Workers should engage with various community groups in villages, including writers, litterateurs, social reformers, farmers, youth, and retired soldiers, and compile a list of these new members.

They should also visit slums and Dalit settlements to listen to the residents before presenting their own message. The goal is to inform people about central and state schemes, employment opportunities, and connectivity. The CM emphasized the need to connect with the public through the Samvad membership campaign, noting that half the population wants to join the BJP. He instructed workers to go door to door, engaging not just with the heads of households but with every member. Mahila Morcha officers should meet with women, and Yuva Morcha workers should engage with the youth.

CM said that the first phase of the campaign will run from September 1st to 25th while the second will run from October 1st to 15th October and the active membership campaign from October 15th to 31st. It will be necessary for an active member to have made 100 members. The CM said that booth-wise physical verification will help tackle challenges of rumour mongering and conspiracies.

The CM stated that the SP and Congress managed to mislead a significant portion of society during the elections. He emphasized that the BJP is not casteist but an inclusive party, committed to reaching out to all sections of society. The CM urged workers to address accusations that the BJP seeks to alter the constitution and end reservation. He also criticized the SP, alleging that it acts as a proxy for the Congress.

CM Yogi stated that for the BJP to be strengthened by 2047, the party itself must be reinforced. He noted that the public believes that strengthening the BJP will lead to a stronger India. He highlighted that the world is observing India’s progress, with its economy moving from 12th place in 2004 to 10th in 2014, and currently standing at 5th.

He projected that India will become the third-largest economy within three years. The CM emphasized that every segment of society has benefited from the government’s schemes without discrimination, with the benefits being distributed in the spirit of “Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas,” rather than based on caste or religion.

On this occasion, BJP National General Secretary Dushyant Gautam, State President Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh, State General Secretary Organization Dharampal, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, former Deputy Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Dinesh Sharma, former State President Dr. Ramapati Ram Tripathi, Surya Pratap Shahi, Swatantradev Singh, Co-incharge of Uttar Pradesh Sanjeev Chaurasia etc. were present.
