Complete Pending Works on Mumbai-Nashik Highway Immediately

Thane : Public Works Minister Dadaji Bhuse has directed that the pending works on the Mumbai-Nashik highway be completed immediately to ensure the public does not face any trouble. He emphasized that both government and administrative bodies work for the people, and efforts must be made to address their needs promptly.

Minister Bhuse conducted a detailed review of the ongoing projects on the Mumbai-Nashik highway this morning in the committee hall of the Collector’s office.

During the meeting, officials including Collector Ashok Shingare, MSRDC Managing Director and Vice Chairman Anil Gaikwad, Superintendent of Police Dr. D. Swamy, Deputy Commissioner of Transport Dr. Vinay Kumar Rathod, and various other dignitaries were present. Minister Bhuse instructed that the 120 km highway from Thane to Nashik, including the 23 km stretch from Thane to Vadape and the 97 km stretch from Vadape to Nashik, should be completed with proper planning. He also highlighted the ongoing work on railway bridges near Asangaon, urging that while the construction of the new bridge will take three months, the existing bridge should be repaired quickly to ensure smooth traffic flow.

Bhuse further emphasized the need to complete the bridge work from Vadape promptly and to impose appropriate time restrictions for heavy vehicles to prevent traffic jams. He mentioned that 170 police volunteers have been deployed to assist the traffic police from Thane to Vadape and urged for proper coordination to manage traffic effectively.

He also highlighted that all efforts are being made at the government-administrative level to streamline the Mumbai-Nashik highway and called on the public to cooperate. He warned that strict action would be taken against any officials failing to implement the decisions made during the meeting.

At the start of the meeting, Collector Ashok Shingare welcomed Minister Bhuse with a bouquet, and at the end, assured that the instructions given by the Minister would be followed diligently by all concerned authorities.
