Former President Dr. Sharmas contributions to the nation will be remembered forever: CM Dr. Yadav

Dr. Yadav highlighted Dr. Sharma’s legacy as a distinguished leader of both Madhya Pradesh and the country. Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, the 9th President of India, was born on August 19, 1918, in Bhopal. He assumed the President’s office in 1992, following his tenure as the 8th Vice President of India, a position he held starting in 1987. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Sharma served in various significant roles, including Chief Minister of Bhopal State (1952-1956), Cabinet Minister in the Madhya Pradesh Government (1956-1971), and Union Communications Minister (1974-1977). He was also elected to the Lok Sabha twice and served as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, and Maharashtra.
