It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure the district development fund reaches the last citizen – Guardian Minister Anil Patil.

Nandurbar : Guardian Minister Anil Patil emphasized the importance of coordination between the District General Hospital, Government Medical College, and rural health systems to address the district’s health issues. He asserted that all public representatives, including officials, are responsible for ensuring that the funds allocated for district development through the District Planning Committee reach every citizen.

He made these remarks during a review meeting of the District Planning Committee held at Nijjang Bhawan today. Also present were State Tribal Development Minister Dr. Vijayakumar Gavit, District President Dr. Supriya Gavit, MP Ang Gowal Padvi, MLAs Amshya Padvi, K. C. Padvi, Shirish Naik, Rajesh Padvi, District Collector Dhananjay Gogte, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Sawan Kumar, District Superintendent of Police Shravan Dutt, District Planning Officer Yogendra Chaudhary, and other members of the District Planning Committee including Dr. Abhijit More, Madhukar Patil, Nikhil Kumar Turkhia, Nilesh Mali, Makarand Patil, Satyanand Gavit, Kir Singh Vasave, Vijay Singh Paradke, and Ram Raghuvanshi.

During the meeting, a review of the expenditures for the year 2023-24 and an assessment of the district annual plans for 2024-25 as of June 30, 2024, were conducted group-wise.

Provision of Maharashtra Appropriation (Vote on Account) Bill, 2024 for the expenses from April 1, 2024 to July 2024 has been approved. Accordingly, the Finance Department has made 33% of the funds available for district-level schemes. The Guardian Minister instructed all agencies to submit proposals on time and plan for implementation during the meeting.

For the year 2024-25, the final budget has been approved for the District Annual Plan under the General District Annual Scheme at Rs. 19200.00 lakhs, the Tribal Sub-Plan at Rs. 38925.00 lakhs, and the Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan at Rs. 1400.00 lakhs, making a total of Rs. 59525.00 lakhs.   • Road development (main account head 3050+5054): Rs. 1400.00 lakhs
  • Tourism and pilgrimage site development: Rs. 930.00 lakhs
  • Public health: Rs. 1931.00 lakhs
  • Maharashtra Urban Renewal Scheme for Municipalities: Rs. 1650.00 lakhs
  • Women and Child Development Welfare: Rs. 703.00 lakhs
  • Primary school building construction/special repairs/model school infrastructure/science laboratories/computer laboratories/digital schools, internet/Wi-Fi facilities: Rs. 887.50 lakhs
  • Innovation scheme: Rs. 621.25 lakhs and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Rs. 177.50 lakhs
  • Dynamic administration: Rs. 600.00 lakhs
  • Conservation of forts, temples, and important protected monuments: Rs. 532.50 lakhs
