Mumbai : In response to the civil unrest in Bangladesh, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has taken crucial steps to ensure the safety and repatriation of Maharashtra students stuck there. Chief Minister Shinde has been in direct contact with the Ministry of External Affairs to address this urgent situation.

The ongoing unrest in Bangladesh has raised concerns about the safety of foreign nationals, particularly students stranded in the affected areas. Chief Minister Shinde has made it a priority to safeguard the well-being of Maharashtra students studying in Bangladesh.

Chief Minister Shinde has communicated with the Ministry of External Affairs, emphasizing the need for immediate action due to the severity of the situation. He has requested all possible assistance for the affected students, including relocating them to safer areas within Bangladesh if necessary and expediting their safe return to India.

To facilitate this, a list of Maharashtra students currently in Bangladesh has been compiled and provided to the Ministry of External Affairs. This will enable prompt contact and assistance. Additionally, the state government has set up a team to monitor the situation, maintain contact with central authorities, and support the affected families. Coordination with the Indian Embassy in Bangladesh is ongoing to ensure student safety measures are implemented effectively.
