“No Woman Left Behind: Ajit Pawar on ‘My Beloved Sister’ Scheme”

Baramati : Under the ‘Chief Minister’s My Beloved Sister Scheme,’ eligible women from all sections of society will receive a benefit of ₹1,500. Women are urged to apply by August 31. Deputy Chief Minister and District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar assured that no eligible woman in the state will be deprived of the benefits of this scheme.

He was speaking at a program organized in relation to the ‘Chief Minister’s My Beloved Sister’ scheme at the Baramati Panchayat Samiti. Present at the event were MLA Amol Mitkari, Sub-Divisional Officer Vaibhav Navadkar, Group Development Officer Dr. Anil Bagal, Assistant Group Development Officer Nandan Jarande, and Child Development Project Officer Abhiman Mane.

Mr. Pawar said that the supplementary budget presented for the state’s development includes various schemes for all sections of society. The government is striving to economically empower women, promote self-reliance, and provide various facilities. To achieve this, several schemes have been launched, including the ‘Chief Minister’s My Beloved Sister’ scheme, the ‘Pink E-Rickshaw’ scheme that provides financial assistance to women for the rickshaw business, the Chief Minister’s Annapurna scheme offering three free cylinders annually to women, and a scheme providing free education to girls from families with an annual income up to eight lakh rupees.

The ‘Chief Minister’s My Beloved Sister’ scheme is an ambitious initiative with a budget allocation of ₹46,000 crore for one year. Under this scheme, eligible women aged 21 to 65 with an income up to ₹2.5 lakh should apply online. For offline applications, they can contact local authorities such as Anganwadi workers, supervisors, and Gram Sevaks. A list of eligible beneficiaries will be published after the applications are submitted.

Women who apply in August will also receive benefits retroactively from July, so there is no need to rush. The administration is addressing any difficulties encountered during the application process. Eligible women will receive a total of ₹3,000 for July and August, directly deposited into their accounts by August 19 (Raksha Bandhan).

To date, 134,498 applications have been submitted under this scheme in the district, including 7,648 applications from Baramati taluka. The Pune District Central Cooperative Bank is opening zero-balance accounts for women. All related parties should work in coordination with the administration to ensure that all eligible women benefit from this scheme. Mr. Pawar urged women to come forward and take advantage of this scheme.

During the event, Mr. Pawar accepted representative applications from five women under the “Chief Minister’s My Beloved Sister” scheme.

Dr. Bagal delivered the introduction for the program.
